Punta del Rey

Spent 2 weeks here and had a lovely time in the resort. Was allocated a room on top floor & are grateful the hotel accommodated our request for this. Room has everything you need,albeit it fridge is quite worn now & was difficult to get temperature right.Spacious balcony with spectacular sea views & an airer on it. In prime spot to reach ferry port for trips to Puerto de Mogan & Anfi & you can walk to Amadores beach. Once you are down the steps next to the Hotel, you can easily walk to restaurants, shops & bars & Mogan Mall which is a fantastic place for shopping & a drink. The Hotel staff, including the cleaners,work really hard and are always friendly & helpful. Considering this is an Adults only Hotel, was very surprised that inflatables and games are permitted in the pool. Some days, a leisurely swim in the pool became an obstacle course to avoid the numerous lilos or people playing ping pong! Sunbeds are plentiful but some guests still felt the need to 'reserve' theirs at 'stupid- o-clock' with their towels - all whilst the cleaners are busy working around the pool. Was made quite clear to us that smoking is not permitted in our rooms or balcony & designated smoking areas are allocated outside. We are not smokers and found it frustrating how some guests completely disregarded this policy & were blatantly smoking on balcony/landing outside rooms(& vaping at edge of loungers). Smoke does travel across balconies & through open doors/windows which is not pleasant for non smokers. Music was frequently played quite loud around the pool. We had music playing loudly from the speakers by the restaurant & also, from the small bar the other side of the pool and they were not even playing the same music! The music was so loud some days, I could not concentrate on the book I was reading or hear my own music. The hotel is clean, has a sophisticated look and has been well thought out, however, inflatables, smoking & loud music really detract from what would otherwise be, a beautiful place to stay.

I haven't been to the hotel yet (due to go thursday) but I had some questions before heading there. I messaged via Instagram and spoke to Jose who was super helpful and kind. Really looking forward to our visit, very accommodating already.

From the moment we arrived we felt very comfortable. It is a hotel with a relaxed atmosphere where you can really disconnect from the routine. We really enjoyed the stay and the treatment received by the staff, who were always attentive and friendly. We left happy and looking forward to returning another time.
