Suite Monte Golf

Spent two weeks at these apartments, our apartment was excellent as was the grounds and pool area. BUT be aware that there are some very unfriendly Norwegian people who think they own the place and will take sunbed and umbrellas from you whilst you are in the pool and if challenged get very aggressive. This made us feel very uncomfortable every day we were down by the pool. We complained to the management and they did nothing!! So we complained to the owner of our apartment and with 2 days 4 new umbrellas arrived. We found out later from other residents that this happened a lot.

Without doubt Monte Golf Suits are the best apartments in this lovely bay. Looking over two beaches, Monte Golf has parking, a large pool, snack bar and is only 5 minutes from the beach. Ole is a great restaurant, 4 minutes walk, so is a SPA grocery shop. It is a gated development with automatic gate for cars and a key gate for pedestrians. Lovely atmosphere, friendly people, a great mix of nationalities. The perfect place for a holiday. By the end of 2016 there will be a new walkway directly on the coast, starting at Playa del Cura. You'll be able to walk from Monte Golf Suit Apartments through Amadores, all the way to Puerto Rico. Giving you access to four beaches and hundreds of restaurants and bars all along the coast. No need for a car! There is a great air conditioned bus service from the airport to Playa del Cura. Perfect! Then you can take a bus later on in your holiday to Puerto de Mogan or Playa del Ingles is you wish. But Playa del Cura is all you need with a couple of restaurants and bars a four minute walk away. The hidden gem of Gran Canaria.

Stayed here for new year and had a lovely time. Weather was excellent so that helped a lot as we spent most of the time on the nearby beach (walking distance from apartments). If the weather had been bad we might have struggled for things to do as the resort is small. However, good bus services to other places if you get stuck. Apartment was very clean and spacious with lovely views out to sea and inland from the balcony. Only problem we had was that the safe key had been taken by previous occupants and there was no spare on for us to use, but we had nothing taken anyway. Kitchen small but very well equiped, although we ate out most nights as there were several restaurants at the bottom of the road - Guiseppe's was our favourite, but not much in it really. Pool was not heated so the sea was actually warmer and more fun for a 7 year old boy! Would go back again.
