Casa Del Pilar

On arrival we were told the bar was closed the restaurant was closed we had to go to a different location for breakfast. We did not see any staff members during our three night stay great location but that is the only positive

23 steep and curved steps to reach the room. The bathroom is a corner of the room with a glass door that does not close and open above. The curtains were not complete and light was coming in from dawn. The windows not completely insulated from the street. Old furniture, not antique. Poor lighting. The excuse that no one is in reception to avoid COVID contacts is outdated. Very poor cleanliness. Getting to the garage is a gym. The only good thing is the location. We're not coming back.

I agree that this hotel is average and rather desolate and perhaps better described as a restaurant offering rooms upstairs. HOWEVER, that is without taking into account the history of the building and its connection to the nearby Alhambra AND the fact that Andalusian traditional houses all come with an inner court to have meals… No kettle? You can ask for help: I was given a pot of boiling water twice by the staff on premises (during restaurant opening times).
