Hotel Zaguan Del Darro

I would not recommend this hotel. My husband and I were very dismayed at multiple problems. We arrived at check-in time to find that our room was not ready. We were unhappy not to be able to settle in and freshen up before heading for our scheduled time at the Alhambra. We returned to the hotel and were given a queen room after having booked a king size bed. We were too tired after touring the Alhambra to deal with switching. Then we found that there was no hot water for showers. In the morning we discovered that the internet was down. Then, we were locked out of the hotel after having gone out to breakfast because our room card would not open the front door. We had to call a number posted outside to alert an off-site employee to come help us. We had to wait a long time which cut into our travel time to our next destination.

Excellent location with easy access to key tourist spots . Wifi weak & not dependable . Helpful staff calling taxi for us and making recommendations for food places to eat .

Poor hotel, which in no way deserves 3 stars. Welcoming staff who speak only Spanish (attic for a tourist hotel). Poorly maintained room, broken mirror and sink, leaky shower door and turns bathroom into swimming pool. The hotel takes advantage of the traffic in Granada to charge indecent prices for quality. The cobblestone street is extremely noisy. Ah... I was going to forget the basket of toilet paper rolls delicately arranged next to the elevator.
