White Nest Hotel

I arrived and spent 10 minutes at the door waiting for them to open it and no one was there. The boy arrived and went up to get the room keys without even asking me for my ID, to a computer on a table in the IKEA, on the 1st floor. He gives me the room downstairs, in the patio, which has two windows. One that does not exist, that they have put the frame on and inside there is a light bulb (I attach photos) and another that faces the interior patio right where the speaker with reggaeton on is. The door does not have a latch, it is a normal interior knob. When I arrive I see that there is a red curtain on the ceiling. When I open it I see a huge hole all black and deep that who knows if there are rats or cockroaches or who knows if they clean it. The door has a crack at the top that lets in all the noise and cold from outside. As soon as I saw all this, I gave the boy the key back. It seems terrible to me that you put photos of rooms covering the gaps in them and putting false windows. The door was scary. I claim my money and they say it can't be cancelled. It's not canceling, it's just that the photos have nothing to do with the room, it's a scam. I had to go to another hotel that was 5 euros more expensive and was 4*.

Small Hostel well located right in the centre of Grenada, literally 2 minutes walk takes you to the main square. I have some mobility difficulties so was very pleased to find 2 single beds in my room along with one bunk which mean I didn’t have to climb the ladder on the bunk bed. Room had air conditioning and a pan en-suite which was quite small but a nice feature and had towels provided along with miniature toiletries which was a nice touch. There was also plenty of storage in the room. I do have a couple of negatives I have to mention. I stayed here in a group of 16 with 4 rooms and at check in we were only offered one room key which our group leader said was not acceptable. We were eventually provided a second key for each room but the staff made a fuss about doing it. There needs to be one key per guest as in most other hostels, this is one thing that can be fixed for a low cost. Also one night some of our group got locked on the terrace, when we found the security man he admitted he did not check to see if there was people on the terrace before he locked it for the night which astounded me. Another thing I noticed was in general the staff didn’t have much English which was surprising but we managed. Given the issues with keys I wouldn’t recommend here for groups because having one key just isn’t workable but otherwise definitely put it on your list despite the negatives I mentioned

I stayed here for one night over the weekend. I came with a friend and we opted for a 6 bed mixed dorm. The bathroom could have done with some TLC and tiles were broken and it was generally quite grotty, but was fine for one night. Towels and bedding were provided in the dorm. Staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to store our bags in a room at the back of the hostel both before and after check in whilst we were exploring the city. Check in did take a lot longer than expected. There was a big group in front of us and absolutely nothing seemed to be moving. That said, the staff seemed to be doing their best. There's a nice communal searing area just past the check in desk and we were able to have a few nice conversations with other travellers. I didn't use the kitchen and so can't comment. The location is fantastic! You can see parts of the Alhambra as soon as you exit the hostel. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the hostel to the Alhambra's main entrance and around 15 minutes to walk to the cathedral. We came to Granada by coach and were able to take the 33 bus from the station to a bus stop about 10 minutes walk away from the hostel. Can definitely say that this place is good value for money!!!!
