Alixares Hotel

A great location if you are going to the Alhambra. Bad location if you are not. At the top of a hill with an erratic but cheap bus service. We were in town on Saturday night and finding a taxi back was impossible. Had to pay £30 for a priority uber. Hotel was comfortable but not 4 star. Staff were nice to us. Pool does not open till 11 am. On the first night we avoided the buffet having seen other reviews and opted for bar meals. Not great. You can’t charge things to your room and have to pay as you go. Inconvenient. Breakfast was adequate with all the usual things but very average. Orange juice seemed processed not fresh. Bacon swimming in grease. Overall basic hotel out of town but perfect for the Alhambra ( we didn’t go).

Fine but aging. Convenient because in front of the albambra with all buses

The hotel lives from its convenient location to the Alhambra. It is an older, clairvoyant concrete structure. The lady at the reception received us very friendly and gave us tips. Since the hotel had no free parking, we parked on the P2 of the Alhambra at the same 24 h rate (about 23 €). The room size was fine for one night. The bathroom is a bit small. It would make more sense to replace the old bathtub with a shower. Asian tour groups also stay there. Accordingly, it was crowded in the dining room, which resembles a company cafeteria. The breakfast selection was extensive but not outstanding. For one night the hotel was ok, but I don't want to spend longer there.
