Parador De Granada Hotel

The building is beautiful externally but I found the modern interior rather bland amf lacking any character. Service was mixed- very good at reception and restaurant, but not in the cafe. Rooms were comfortable but lacked any character or local influence- you could have been anywhere. Location is great for visiting the Alhambra Palace, but bus / taxi needed for visiting Granada City. Not my favourite parador.

The main attraction of this establishment located in an old monastery is its stunning location! It is an integral part of the Alhambra complex, so you step out of your room and you are on the site! Parking is expensive but very convenient as it is located right in the heart of the site! Access is easy (attention to visitors) as it is well explained in a video sent in advance by the hotel... Do not forget to communicate your license plate number before arrival (guard at the site upon arrival)! The rooms are acceptable although the overall atmosphere is quite austere.... Nice cloister where one can rest and relax… Restaurant and cafeteria with a view on site but expensive… Reception is quite procedural and slow. Otherwise, I recommend without hesitation given the unique location and setting!

This is magnificent hotel set within the Alhambra complex. Previously it has been a mosque and a convent and is full of history. Despite the history it succeeds in offering every comfort and modern convenience. On arrival the reception staff could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Bags were carried to our room. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The bed was superb and we both slept well. Breakfast is a copious buffet featuring some local delicacies such as Piononos, a delicious pastry worth trying. The restaurant is excellent serving well cooked and beautifully presented food. I had the best piece of roast suckling pig that I have ever eaten. There is also a bar and less formal dining on a pretty patio. Highly recommended.
