Amara Plaza San Sebastian

On our first evening in San Sebastián, we had been to a local restaurant and on our way back realised that the park we had walked through had since closed for the evening. After walking for over 30 minutes and it now being midnight, and my phone battery had died, so I couldn’t call a taxi, so I went into the reception or the Amara Plaza, and asked if they could ring a taxi for me, and even though I told her I was alone, thinking that may sway her decision, the woman on reception point blank refused. Not a good representation of San Sebastián and definitely not of that Hotel.

Amara is located close to the river, 15 min walk away from the bus/railway station and 5-10 min bus ride from the old town. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, good service, didn't have a chance to test their breakfast. Our room even had a small balcony.
