Sancho IV

My wife and I visited this Hostel on 20/4 What a pleasant surprise. We were quite simply astounded at the value, quality and service standards. Why the facilities are classed as a Hostel is baffling, all areas are tasteful decorated to a contemporary standard. Our twin bedded room , which we paid €40 per night for was lovely. The facility has a comfortable bar serving a limited 'tapa' menu and traditional tostada / coffee breakfast. If I could find fault it would only be that a basic menu would have been appreciated and maybe the bar open after 11pm. However not withstanding that we had a great stay and would totally recommend Hostel Sanchez IV. For a great meal just walk 200 Mtrs into Calle Portugal and sample the menu at a local bar...fantastic Pork dishes with wild mushroom sauce.

We had a super-sized quality snack in the small cafe/bar here, which was more of a meal really and very reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hostal looked relatively new and we would have stayed the night had we known about it as it was nicer than where we had booked. It seemed popular with Spanish students, tourists and locals alike. It's not far from the Portuguese border.
