Apartamentos Blancosol

Terrible experience: one star is already too much. We had requested an apartment on the top floor with a terrace and, before our arrival, we were told that they would do everything possible to fulfill the request. At the time of check-in, it was then confirmed to us that the assigned apartment had a terrace. In reality, we found ourselves on the -1 floor, practically in a basement, without any terrace. The even more serious thing is that on the property's website it is not specified in any way that some apartments may be located on the underground floor. On the contrary, the descriptions indicate that the apartments, particularly those with two or three bedrooms, are located on the first or second floor or, at most, on the ground floor. The possibility of being accommodated in a basement is never mentioned. Even the photographs associated with the booking are therefore misleading: no image clearly shows an apartment on the -1 floor or an underground accommodation. If this information had been indicated transparently, we would never have chosen that accommodation. The apartment was dirty and neglected: a strong smell of mold, hair, dirty pillowcases, a broken chair, and a missing shower door. The property also claims that the rooms are hypoallergenic, a statement that seems absurd considering the presence and strong smell of mold inside the apartment. Given the conditions, we asked to be able to change apartments, but we were told that all the other accommodations were occupied. The response did not seem convincing to us and, in any case, no concrete alternative was offered to us. After our report, a lady was sent to clean, who sprayed bleach practically everywhere. Upon our return, the apartment was invaded by a very strong and suffocating smell of bleach, without the mold problem having been really solved. It only seemed like an attempt to cover up the smell. The pool was also a big disappointment: the water had such a strong smell of chlorine that it made swimming difficult and unpleasant. After using the pool, I developed a stye in my eye and had to go to a doctor. During the visit, I was told that it was not possible to determine the cause with certainty, but that the problem could have been linked to the pool water, the excessive presence of chlorine, or its hygienic conditions. The owner was arrogant, rude, and not at all helpful. He denied the problems, barely listened to our reports, and even claimed that it was **“the best apartment in Ibiza”**, only to end the conversation by saying he did not want to argue. A truly surreal statement, considering the conditions in which we found the accommodation. Non-transparent and misleading information, dirty and poorly maintained apartment, mold, inadequate cleaning, nonexistent maintenance, almost unusable pool, and extremely rude management. Absolutely negative experience and the property is completely unrecommended.

Very poor service; they changed our room twice. They gave us a very poorly located room, on a mezzanine with many stairs, very divided and old. I do not recommend it at all.

We had the most wonderful stay at Apartmentos Blanco Sol whilst visiting Ibiza for our niece’s wedding. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, but what really made our stay were our hosts and the peaceful location. Antonio, Rosa, and their son David went above and beyond. It’s obvious that family are the heart of it’s success, just look at the lovely picture behind the bar, a great sketch of many generations. They kindly arranged early check-in for our sons who arrived on an earlier flight, and allowed us to make full use of all the facilities on our departure day, which made such a difference to our travel experience. David was great, even providing us with a taxi service to the nearby Cala Vadella beach — this is a quieter, more local beach that we would highly recommend with some lovely restaurants in particular Nola’s and Maria Luisa’s. The location of the apartments itself is tranquil, with lovely distant sea views, and ideal for families with its two large pools and play area. A supermarket just round the corner with a good variety of produce. One of the highlights of our stay was the homemade pizzas (with takeaway option!), muy bien!. Breakfasts and drinks were always served with a smile, and Antonio brought joy to each day with his dancing and his warm, cheeky sense of humour — he had us laughing constantly! Rosa was equally wonderful, offering an iron, great local knowledge and even helping us plan our beach trips to avoid jellyfish, which was appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
