Apartamentos Sal Rossa

I had a great time at these apartments. They are right beside the beach. We had superior apartments (so had a balcony). The rooms are 2 single beds with sofa bed in living area. Compact bedroom, but you are hardly there. I slept well, no noise. Stairs up to the 2nd floor. Balcony had a view onto the entrance, nice trees and a glimpse of the sunset over the hills. Fridge and freezer, microwave, cutlery, dishes, hob, pots. Bring a coffee plunger/maker if you like making your own coffee. Staff are friendly. Service directly at the bar is a bit slow/laid back. Table service is fine and friendly. Food is delicious, and very reasonably priced. Some nice options for vegetarians. We ate and drank there a few times as it was just handier. 6 bottles of corona for 16 quid, espresso martinis for a tenner. The beach is right beside the pool. As it was September, we were able to find a spot on the beach, and place our parasols. Can wash your feet then on way back in to grab a drink/food. There are also outdoor showers by the pool. There are sun loungers by the lovely pool, but people are putting their towels there and heading off for the day - the hotel needs to clamp down on that as it's not fair to other users who would like to enjoy the pool. However, the beach is just fabulous, safe and so close. Take a walk up to the old town (up the cliff face) as it's well worth it and about 40 mins to the old town. You are also beside Ushuaia and Hi Ibiza and plenty of bars. Spar across the road is very expensive, but handy for stocking up. Great location, would go back here. We booked via a travel agent.

What a lovely find. We were heading to Ibiza to celebrate a birthday in the family. I spotted Sal Rossa on hotels.com at a reasonable price and were very pleased with our choice. The standard apartment are quite compact but plenty big enough for the 3 of us. There was a double bedroom and then a bed/sofa in the main room. The bathroom was great with a shower and bath. There was a small kitchenette (we only used the fridge) and a balcony. Also the aircon was super fast and very much needed. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The staff were lovely and check in/check out was super fast and efficient. There is a small bar/restaurant by the pool. Which did great breakfast and lunch (I'm sure the dinners would have been equally as good but we ate out). The prices were quite reasonable and everything was freshly made. The pool was lovely and clean with chairs and loungers and importantly plenty of umbrellas. You could step straight from the pool area on to the beach. I would certainly stay again.

A perfect place to enjoy as a couple, with family, or with friends because it has a great location, very attentive staff, good food, and excellent views of Dalt Vila. And the beach is just a few steps away to enjoy those movie-like sunrises.
