Agroturismo Can Marquet is an absolutely beautiful place. The whole setting and atmosphere of this wonderful Ibizan property are exceptional. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful, the views are absolutely amazing, and the breakfast was fantastic. Above all, the staff were exceptional — incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. When it comes to the property, its surroundings, breakfast and especially the level of service provided by the staff, I would genuinely give Can Marquet 11 out of 10. Unfortunately, I have to give a lower overall rating because of a serious incident that occurred in Bungalow 19 around 2 weeks ago. The shower cubicle in the bungalow was quite narrow and there were no shelves or suitable places inside the shower to put shampoo and toiletries, meaning that our own shampoo bottles had to be placed on the shower floor. The shower controls are positioned approximately at hip height. While bending down to retrieve shampoo from the shower floor, the upper part of the buttock briefly came into contact with the hot-water side of the shower control. The fitting was so extremely hot that this very brief contact caused a significant burn and two large blisters. We reported the incident to reception almost immediately, within approximately half an hour. The staff on duty were extremely helpful and concerned and did everything they could to assist us at the time. The following morning, we wanted to discuss the incident directly with the owners. However, we were informed by the staff that the owners did not speak English, and despite having someone available who could have translated, we were unable to speak with them directly. Our communication therefore continued through the staff. The following morning, the shower was checked and the external electric water heater was also inspected. The water heater itself appeared extremely old and heavily rusted, and they were unable to establish what temperature it had been set to. What was very clear, however, was that the hot-water system, and consequently the hot-water side of the shower fitting, had reached an extremely high temperature. From a health and safety perspective, this is an urgent issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. A shower fitting should simply not become dangerously hot enough to cause this degree of burn from such brief accidental skin contact. Unfortunately, the burn and two blisters were severe enough to affect the remaining days of our holiday. Even now, around 14 days after the incident, the injury has still not fully healed. I want to be very fair in writing this review because virtually everything else about Can Marquet was excellent. It is a beautiful property in a wonderful setting, the views are absolutely amazing, the breakfast is fantastic, and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful — including in the way they responded to this incident. I also want to make a very clear distinction between the staff and the owners of the property. We have nothing but praise for the staff and do not hold them responsible for what happened. Ultimately, however, it is the owners’ responsibility to ensure that the accommodation, equipment and facilities provided to guests are properly maintained and safe to use. In our view, allowing a hot-water system and shower control to reach a temperature capable of causing this level of injury from such brief contact represents a serious failure in that responsibility. Had the system been properly maintained, checked and safely temperature-controlled, this incident should not have happened. It is a real shame because, without this incident, our experience at Can Marquet would genuinely have been exceptional.

Simply a dream! The place, the house, and especially the charming people! Everyone is making an effort to ensure that the stay is unforgettable, and they succeed! Thank you very much for everything!

Spent a fantastic 7 days here. Room in old building with chairs and table in small courtyard. Entrance hall with sofa and table, bedroom with double bed, fridge, safe and air-conditioning. Bathroom with shower over bath. All rooms had solid stone walls, high wooden ceilings, and small windows. A few steps to lovely pool. Perfectly adequate breakfast available till 11am. Usual continental array with various egg options. Simple lunch menu. No evening meals, but bar open till late or honesty bar. Staff were excellent and everywhere was clean. Able to borrow umbrellas for the beach. The pool is clothing optional, but I was surprised by how few guests took this up. However, nude sun bathing and swimming was perfectly possible. It was not safe to walk to nearby town and restaurants, especially at night, because of the narrow, unlit roads and fast cars. We were able to borrow a kettle for our room to make tea and coffee. Would definitely consider coming again
