Hotel Argos

Clean environment and less expensive than the usual hotels. You cannot expect more obviously. Old and poorly maintained environment but still clean. Nice new towels at today's change and a sea view that always has its appeal.

Like other reviews about this hotel, the location is great. The beach is not really attractive, the pool needs serious maintenance. But okay, if you have a very nice experience of the hotel, that wouldn't be a problem. What inappropriate staff. Check-in (the older woman was friendly to men who came alone, by the way). Don't look at me once during the entire check-in time, no smile, nothing. Stupid comments though.. They are only busy with cash, when you go to the ATM they stick their nose in your business. The same story in the restaurant. Aside from the chefs, who were friendly, the staff is so unsympathetic. The cleaners no longer gave coffee cups because I once asked about a charger that was missing and was on the bed. So childish, so it spoils a bit of our holiday fun. Oh and a tip for it, if you don't like sand, make sure the towel service doesn't happen at the reception.

The hotel is clean and the staff are relaxed and friendly. We were there in peak season and could always get a sunbed around the pool or on the beach however the pool area is very small & feels cramped. If you’re wanting a quiet holiday the location is good. Not far from the port, less than 5 mins to walk. Getting around by bus is a bit tricky if you’re wanting to go to other areas as it’s quite remote so you’ll rely on taxis quite a bit which isn’t great. The stretch of beach it’s on definitely isn’t the nicest. The sea isn’t particularly clean due to the amount of seaweed close to shore unlike other areas of Ibiza. That’s not the hotels fault but one to be aware of if you’re a beach lover. Shop over the road is really reasonable and has everything you need. Overall we enjoyed our stay, would say it’s more of a 3 star than 4 star due to the communal areas like the pool & restaurant. Breakfast was bang average and good times are really late so we didn’t have any evening meals there as could only eat between 8pm & 10pm
