PARADOR

This Parador doesn't look like or feel like a Parador. More like a chain hotel. Rooms are quite dark with small windows. Calahorra is quite a depressing town to walk around. Breakfast cereals were very limited. Kelloggs Cocopops, Frosties or Bran. No cornflakes, Special K, Country Store, Oats or Weetabix. Very poor compared to other Paradors that we have stayed in. Dinner was good with lovely service from the waitresses particularly Ramina who was an absolute delight. Reception staff were very good too. Car parking is limited on a first come first served basis. If it is full you have to find alternative parking that isn't free of charge close by but free if you go further out.

Terrible service and excessive price. Waitresses were unprofessional, arguing among themselves and charging €17 for a poorly prepared Gin and Tonic. There was no Bloody Mary because there was no vodka. Seriously? And all of that, while we were alone, I mean, they were not busy enough to proceed like that. Once and no more.

"A ten out of ten stay!" The Parador de Calahorra is a beautiful place, with classic and well-maintained decor that makes you feel at home. I want to highlight the kindness and professionalism of all the staff, but I would like to make a special mention of the receptionist Carmen. From our arrival, her service was exceptional, warm, and very attentive. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. I also want to mention the breakfast buffet, which is very complete and varied. We will definitely return!
