Alondra Villas y Suites

I recently stayed at this property on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal). While the villa itself featured an excellent layout and a wonderful pool, the overall experience did not align with a 5-star standard, primarily due to major dining and logistical issues. Pros: * The villa layout was excellent. * The private pool was a standout feature. * The staff members were very pleasant. Cons: * Dining Restrictions & Lack of Communication: Upon booking, we were not informed that the main restaurant would be closed for two days, and closed for an additional two days for private functions. While we were permitted to use the sister hotel, no transport was provided. The walk involved a very steep hill, which requires a high level of fitness; otherwise, you must pay for a taxi. Furthermore, the menus at both restaurants were highly restricted. Ultimately, we only received 3 of our included meals and had to pay out-of-pocket to eat elsewhere for the remaining nights. * Reception Closures & Late Arrival Logistics: Reception closes strictly at 9:00 PM. If you arrive late, you cannot access the property and must take a taxi to the sister hotel just to collect your keys. Additionally, no food or beverage service is available after this time. * Housekeeping & Amenities: For a 5-star hotel, basic amenities fell short. Tea and coffee facilities were not replenished, and we went without pool towels and hand towels for two days. The cleaning service felt minimal. * Check-out: On departure, reception was entirely unattended. After waiting for 20 minutes with no staff arriving, we had to leave our keys on the desk and exit. Recommendation: If you are looking for a beautiful villa and intend to self-cater, I would highly recommend this property. However, I would strongly advise against booking the half-board package.

Wonderful villa, superb layout, disappointed that reception only open from 9am to 9pm, so when you arrive late in the dark there is no one to greet you only a very poor sign on door telling you to make your way to sister hotel with no directions etc. We booked half board only to find restaurant closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and also closed other nights due to a private wedding and a party. You can of course eat at sister hotel with a very restricted menu, not at all five star rating. Very nice staff but we would not return.

We had an absolutely amazing time at your villa! Beautiful inside and out, pool was lovely and warm. The maids done a great job at cleaning our room every day. The inclusive breakfast was full of choice and lovely sitting by the pool. The only grumble we had was the taxi situation, we booked well in advance but the taxi did not arrive outside our villa where we requested therefore we had to walk for to reception this was a problem one of the days of our stay as we had a restaurant reservation booked. The hotel stiff did assure we they are aware of te problem with taxis so we hope this can be out right soon. Putting that aside would definitely recommend this place you do have the best of both worlds a private villa and the convenience of an onsite restaurant and maid service. We will definitely return one day!
