I feel sorry to post this review, it was my favorite hotel in the Aran Valley and I stayed there always. A few years ago due to circumstances, I stopped going skiing and until last week I hadn’t returned. The reform that Eurostars has carried out (despite being necessary) has taken away all the charm. Looks like a hotel on Madrid's Gran Via. I gave it two stars and not one because the staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is a mess, all the tables were occupied and the two waiters who manned the Buffet are unable to pick up the dirty dishes and waste that accumulate on the tables. At 8.15am the tea water is not warm and you have to wait (every day) The selection of teas is painful: black tea there is only Earl Grey and of a more than doubtful quality. Doesn't a 5 star really offer anything else? Would you open breakfast with the coffee machine offline? The rooms are large but when doing the work they have not adjusted the lighting so there are areas where it is impossible to read or work and other areas of the room, where there is nothing, are overlit. One of the days, when arriving back from the slopes my room was uncleaned. There are details that cannot be tolerated at these prices (single at 303€ a night) They do not leave you a chocolate, or a detail in the room when making it. The day I arrived I had a beer and potatoes from the minibar, they were never replenished, which means I can not repeat if I feel like it. Food and drinks of the Restaurant do not escape the general abandonment. The wine list is rampoline and the food list is depressing. The gastronomy of the Valley is spectacular and this is what an establishment considered luxury offers... Anyway, I will not return again despite the friendly treatment and the unbeatable situation of the hotel.

We stayed in 4 rooms on a ski trip of a group of 6 friends, from 2 to 5 March The main complaints are some inadmissible aspects in a 5-star hotel, and easily improved: 1. Paper napkins at breakfast and dinner services, such as a breakfast cafeteria at 3 euros. Inadmissible not to use cloth napkins 2. No bathing shoes in the rooms 3. The tea water heater was never in service at 8:15 a.m., having to ask the staff to run it every day. Also the quality of the tea was poor and no black tea was available, only green tea 4. The wine list was 4 Riojas and 4 Riberas de Duero. Really in a 5 star hotel can there only be a selection of a 15-20 euro menu restaurant? 5. Shortage of staff in breakfast, ski storage and room cleaning services. On Wednesday, March 4 at 4 pm of the 4 rooms contracted, 3 of them were still not cleaned The renovation made to the hotel has suited the rooms, but not the common areas which is more a whisk of elements without grace and personality.

Perfect hotel and wonderful staff in a excellent location for skiing Baquira Barret, with excellent breakfast and free spa. Amazing location 3 minutes walk from the lift. Very welcoming, knowledgeable personal from front desk, restaurant, valet to cleaning staff. Every single person was kind, patient and made us feel great. Warm, large comfortable rooms with beautiful views, coffee/tea, fridge and lovely bath products excellent elegant spa with wonderful views, great intimate public spaces (pool table, fireplace in the lounge). Lots of nice touches such as warm soup served in the afternoons when returning from skiing, fruity water at the front desk, free chocolates with room service and much more. Loved it and will absolutely come back next season! Thank you!
