Mendez Nunez

Was part of a Camino Frances Tour Group. This hotel was located within the Roman Wall in the heart of the historical district. It was on a pedestrian plaza street. Our group van was not able to drop of us off in front of the hotel, we did have to walk some blocks, but if your luggage rolls well you will be fine. Since the location is so great, it was easy to walk around, go from the hotel, to the major plazas, to the walls, cathedral, everywhere. You could avoid the heat, go back to your room, siesta like everyone else was doing, and then go back out in the evening when everyone comes back out. One issue was if you have large luggage, you are going to have heave your luggage up above the steps to get it in. The staff was pleasant and help. They spoke enough English to be understood. They had umbrellas at the entrance should it rain, which it did the afternoon I was here. But you can kind of stay out of most of the rain if you stay under the alcoves along the pedestrian streets. But some of the streets there are no alcoves.

We went with the Imserso Five Nights. Excellent location. We were assigned a room on the second floor. I liked the room, spacious, with full bathroom and super comfortable beds. Also noteworthy is the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast, buffet type, acceptable. Dinners, closed menu, acceptable.

The location was terrible. We had to drive through the side walk just to reach this hotel. The atmosphere was not hygienic, werid staff, crusty elevator, and no bell desk to pick up our bags. Don’t get me started on the rooms. We walked in to see a hole in the wall with cracks and paint toren off the wall. The room was very dirty with cheap items such as old phones and shower heads. The hotel offered a rooftop which was okay but honestly could have been better. The value was cheap for a ret In conclusion, do not stay here.
