Pousada de Portomarin

The hotel was very shabby and old looking. I was walking the Camino with friends. During my stay at this hotel on 2nd June 2026 I woke up with a pattern of bites on my shoulders and arms.. The bites were consistent with bed bugs. In the morning I immediately notified the reception, as did my tour leader. The staff appeared to take notice, and said they would investigate. I am sharing this advise with other travellers to inspect their rooms upon arrival. I hope the management takes proper steps to treat the room.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, but it was Rony in the dining room that made it stand out. He was absolutely brilliant, kind and super friendly. Thanks Rony for making our stay memorable xx
