We stayed here from Sunday 9 to Wednesday 13 August.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the hotel was exceptionally clean, the café area outside and inside was always busy, we didn’t actually have any drinks there apart from one night where we had a nightcap.
It is in an ideal location it was a three minute walk to the Metro, which was actually really easy to use and never as busy as a tube in London hurrah. Also a seven minute walk to La Latina which had lots of bars and bistros.
Breakfast was very nice with a variety, but sometimes the hot food wasn’t hot. My husband got beans and scrambled eggs on a couple of days and both were cold and he couldn’t eat them. Maybe they’d been sat there for awhile.
Overall, a very nice stay but if we do come back to Madrid next time I might look for a hotel with a pool as if you’re up early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat a nice dip in a pool would have been lovely.
Top tip if you are English, and want to watch the TV hit the red and green buttons on your remote control and it will change from Spanish to the original language of English if it’s an English speaking film or show.
