Plaza Mayor Apartment

I read some mixed reviews of this place and can proudly say some of the reviews are incorrect. This is a lovely place to stay if you're looking for a self contained apartment. It's very centrally located, near Porta de sol and Playor de mayor. I found the apartment quite roomy with all the mod cons, I had the top room in the Attic which meant I got a balcony that was great. I found the amenities good as I didn't want to eat out all the time so I could bring food back. The receptionist was very helpful and help me plan out some of my trip.

We stayed in a Plaza Mayor apartment and it was not one of our most enjoyable moments. The place is unbelievably noisy even with double glazing, is frequented by the homeless and the restaurants in the square are real tourist traps. There are better locations in Madrid for the more astute traveller.
