We've been spending a week in Ronda for 20 years. This year we decided to go to Casa Laguna Espejo reserving all the accommodation, which we are informed is for 36 places. We agreed on a price and, one day, there were 29 people, another day, 26 and, two days, there were 35. The house had beds for 32 people, not 36, so for the two nights that more relatives came (35) we had to order 2 mattresses. What's the surprise? That once we finish the week we are told that the bond (500€) is not returned whole because it says that we have been 40, which is not true. We're already surprised to be asked for such a big bond. Looking at customer reviews now, we understand. I’m sure the owners are unaware of the malpractice of the intermediaries they run. It should be noted that José Antonio, the maintenance man, is a charm, but whoever is behind all this deceived us and kept 250€ from us.

My partner and I booked this place for a weekend in ending the last of a seven day bicycle ride through this part of Andalucia. Since we were traveling by bicycle, we had gone back and forth whether we should stay out in the country or inside Ronda itself. We decided to stay at this place since it was just a few kilometers away from the city. The place is very charming. We had the benefit of having the place to ourselves with no other couples/families renting that weekend. This made for a very romantic setting, including a nearly full moon with a clear sky filled with stars the final night. The family that runs the place were very charming. There were a few problems however. First, in contrast to what was advertised on its website, the place did not come with Internet. This supposedly would have been available for an extra fee, but the brother who has primary responsibility for running the place was away the weekend we were there, and the other sibling apparently did not know how or was unable to set us up with it (we would have provided the extra fee). Second, the TV/satellite connection was not working. This was a problem as that weekend coincided with the finals of the Euro Cup, and by then, we had caught the fever along with the multitude of other Spaniards we had met during our travel. The other sibling did his valiant best in trying to get the TV to work, including swapping out the broken TV with another set in one of the other vacant homes. However, he (and I) were unable to find a way to get the TV to work with the Internet On the other hand, the place again was incredibly precious with killer views and a great location. We were initially concerned about riding our bicycles on the highway to and from the old neighborhoods in Ronda. However, this was not a problem at all however, as Spanish drivers on this highway and everywhere else we traveled were exceptionally considerate of bicyclists. And, again, the family that runs this place is very decent and accommodating. We greatly valued giving our business.
