Mac Puerto Marina Benalmadena

Again, another fantastic holiday at the Mac Puerto Hotel. From the moment you arrive, it truly feels like coming home. The staff are amazing, friendly, and always willing to help, and the hotel itself is spotless throughout. The food is exceptional, with great variety and those extra touches — like the tablecloths — that make every meal feel special. The restaurant team are efficient and welcoming, especially Omar, who always makes you feel looked after. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and housekeeping is excellent, with regular sheet changes and fresh towels that keep everything feeling comfortable and clean. The extended pool area and new steps added since last year are perfect. It’s a lovely improvement that makes relaxing by the pool even better. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will continue returning. It’s a gem.

Spent a week there and was not disappointed at all. Room was fantastic with lovely loungers on the terrace. Every single member of your team are a credit to you nothing is too much trouble. Literally a stones throw from the marina and so many restaurants however the hotel restaurant both breakfast and dinner was faultless!

Have just returned from two weeks at the Hotel Mac and had a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Vosymar and Monica. As we came in on an early flight our room was not ready but we were seated in the reception lounge and offered cava or orange juice and when the room was ready Vosymar personally took our cases to our room and made sure we were OK. The staff at this hotel are exceptional. Omar, Isobelle, Gabrielle and Raphael were very attentive. Big shout out to Carolina at the breakfast chef station. Despite the heat she was always cheerful and cooked me a fantastic "tortilla con jamon and queso" every morning. Adrian at the pool bar was every bit as efficient and by day three he had my "cafe con leche y dos cortados" started before I had stepped up to the counter and ensured they were delivered to our sunbeds. Talking of which we had no problem getting sunbeds. It was only guests who had hit the town hard the night before and came down after 12 that struggled but the soccoristas did their best to find them vacant beds. I have seen some negative comments about the food which I really don’t understand. The choice was always varied and of good quality. Veal , Pork Chicken, Turkey, Ribs, Prawns , Pizzas , a variety of cheeses and a comprehensive salad bar. Fresh fruit, a massive assortment of deserts and a choice of Ice creams every night. In my experience "En Espana es cortes de hablar Espanol" and as soon as you try the staff become people and not just waiters. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. We had one slight problem with the drainage on our shower which flooded the bathroom one evening. I reported it to reception at 7pm on my way down to dinner and upon returning just after 8pm found that maintenance had already been in and sorted the problem. You would be hard pressed to find that sort of service in a UK hotel. Hats off to the management for building such a good staff. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Glyn and Ellen Davis
