Tropicana

Stayed in two bedrooms as a family of four, 21st-26th June. We had lovely bedrooms on the 5th floor with fantastic views of the pool and beach. The staff on the reception and at breakfast were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold food. Managed to get a sunbed every day but it is quite a small pool area. You can use the sister hotel Amaragua facilities if you want. My son used the gym a couple of times. San Juan Festival was lovely. A good choice of poolside music, lovely atmosphere. The location is ideal, opposite the beach and close to the Benalmádena marina. There is a little shop practically next door to the right of the main entrance. I would recommend this hotel to others and I thought it was good value for money via Tui hotels. Water in the room on arrival was a nice touch. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

The atmosphere of the hotel positively surprised me ( >75 ) with its exterior, Caribbean flair! The hallways were freshly painted and equipped with Tiffany ceiling lights :) . The rooms are designed in Spanish country house style and of the best quality, such as with brand new box spring beds. Our room with a side sea view had afternoon and evening sun until about 5:00 PM, which we greatly enjoyed during our siesta time. In the evening for a nightcap on the balcony: Classy! Very extensive breakfast and very, very good dinner!! Pool area manageable, with about. 10 lounge chairs, no children's pool!! The beach is very clean, and the "Tropicana-Chiringita" and grilled sardines are a must! Promenade: Classy! By public bus to Malaga: €1.75 and to Mijas: €1.60. To the center of Torremolinos: Bus €1.60 and the breathtaking stairs from the church to the beach (60m elevation difference) is an experience. Great vacation, where one should know "English," as predominantly Dutch and also British vacationers are present... you won't get very far here with German!! But with Spanish, there is absolutely no problem! Best regards, Gerd
