Turisticos Mar De Nerja

On top of a massive hill (mountain) pre-organise a taxi or drive. The apartment itself was okay because we were only staying 1 night. Trying to get a taxi was a nightmare. No pool open even. It was cheap and cheerful though. Very minimal space.

We stayed here two weeks ago, apartment no.4 building no.2, sliding door did not lock, our money was stolen from the apartment when we were out. Staff member told us that this had never happened before however I am doubtful. Please be aware before booking.

I booked via Booking.com, who clearly used photographs which bore little resemblance to our apartment. On the plus side, the price and location were good. Supermarkets within a short walking distance and the town a 15-20 minute stroll away. The underground parking was welcomed and the air conditioning was a blessing! The pool was the perfect temperature though no lifeguard- not a major problem for us but could be an issue if you have weak swimmers. However... Our apartment, block 7, 1a, was in need of upgrading and attention. No headboards meant two of my children banged their heads on hard walls. Furnishings in disrepair, with sharp edges exposed, bathroom door only occasionally locked and no air vents in bathroom! Shower rail was the sucker type- and fell off twice, once into my daughter’s head. No tea towels in the kitchen, very few cooking pots considering it was a SC apt for 6, only one sharp knife (though this was fixed and a knife block provided) two of the rings on the job did not work- and no instructions provided- we mentioned this but it wasn’t fixed... No loungers on sun terrace, and not many around the pool (around 10, with 2/3 broken and unsafe), patio door did not lock, (again though, this was fixed), random hooks around the apartment and cheap looking fixtures in general. One mirror in the place- the bathroom, none in either bedroom! A barking dog in apt. below barked beyond midnight most nights, and builders began their work at around 6:30 each morning. I would have mentioned these to the reception staff but on the two occasions I went to, the office was locked, even though it was during opening hours. We checked out at 11:30, and the office was also locked so couldn’t even mention it then! photos included are of areas of issue plus the lovely pool!
