Miraflores Resorts

Don’t book, if you have reconsider! Agent advised in apartment description it had AC and if cancel booking 30% deposit would be lost. Arrived to find awful complex and apartment had aircon in ONE room only, nothing in bedrooms. Furthermore it didn’t work and was apartment was very dated despite being told it had been refurbished! Went to reception to complain and ask for money back as we wanted to find another place which we did at our expense, agent instead of complying with my request as a dissatisfied customer called owner and they wouldn’t give money back. After some discussion, owner gave only half of what was due to us and we are still owed monies. They are going against there own T&C’s is it doesn’t state anywhere that the full monies would be paid if we were not satisfied and are now not answering my requests for my money to be repaid. Very unfair and illegal!!

We accidentally booked the miraflores resort instead if the beach and county club where we had stayed before, but when we realised we were not too worried as we knew the apartment would be a similar set up. Positives: - miraflores resort is not a far up the hill as the beach and country club, so less of a hike if you are walking - good location for us - reception staff extremely helpful on arrival - nice tennis club near the apartment which we had not found on previously trips. Nice place to sit for drinks and/food Negatives - apartment we stayed in was very tired in comparison to previous stay in B&CC. - kitchen tiny, very difficult to prepare food if you want to and had to juggle dishes due to lack of space (I appreciate many people probably don’t want to cook/eat in) - kitchen cupboards ridiculously high, I’m 5ft and could reach anything. - balcony in our apartment had a flower bed which was full of cigarette butts - no washing machine which B&CC have Overall I would come again if I couldn’t get B&CC as the location is good.

We did a RCi exchange from South Africa. The reception staff were lovely. The unit we were allocated was a huge disappointment, as we entered it smelled of fire, the stove obviously caught fire as it had burn marks all over it, we had to clean it, all the furniture was either broken or about to break, the linen was awful, had holes in it and dirty marks. Will Never go there again, totally put off!
