CALA D'OR GARDENS

The service is amazing, only the quality from the food can be a bit better

We’ve just spent a fantastic week at Fido Gardens in Cala d’Or and the three of us have had an absolutely brilliant time. The hotel itself has been exactly what we wanted for a relaxing week in Mallorca. It’s clean, comfortable and very well looked after, the pools have been lovely and warm, and we’ve been incredibly lucky with some glorious hot weather. The staff throughout the hotel have also been friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who have been absolutely superb and have added so much to the holiday. In particular, the gentleman in the straw hat who organises the water polo and much of the children’s evening entertainment deserves enormous credit. He seems to be everywhere, has endless energy and enthusiasm, and has a real talent for getting both children and adults involved without ever making it feel forced. He’s funny, charismatic and a genuinely excellent entertainer — exactly the sort of person who turns a good family hotel into somewhere people remember fondly afterwards. The Pool entertainment in particular became one of the highlights of the holiday, and the evening entertainment has been great fun. Keeping children entertained night after night while simultaneously keeping the adults amused is no mean feat, but he somehow manages it brilliantly. Frankly, the man is wasted in a straw hat. Although, for the avoidance of doubt, it is an excellent straw hat. We’ll leave Fido Gardens with some very happy memories. A lovely hotel, great pools, fantastic staff and an entertainment team who really make the place come alive. Highly recommended — and thank you for a brilliant week!

Everything was wonderful. We will vacation here again.
