**A star that is slowly sinking – 6 out of 10 points** The Son Moll Sentits is still wonderfully situated on the beautiful bay of Son Moll. However, the beach is becoming smaller and smaller due to the annual loss of sand – and correspondingly more crowded. The hotel is not to blame for this. It would be all the more important to offer guests more space and quality of stay in the hotel's own outdoor area. Unfortunately, the entire outdoor area is so crowded with lounge chairs during the day that you sometimes feel like a sardine in a can. The beach chairs have also clearly seen better days. Every day I look for a lounge chair where I don't already feel the metal frame. For an additional charge of 25 euros per person per day, you can use a separate area on the former dance floor. But this area is also densely packed with plastic lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. In my experience, it becomes unbearably hot there in August, as the glass panes heat up the area even more. The paid retreat thus offers seclusion, but hardly the hoped-for spaciousness or relaxation. The private access to the sea there sounds attractive at first, but in practice it is only suitable for very sure-footed and agile guests. The former platform in the water was destroyed by the sea and has not yet been replaced. As a result, the path into the water is more like a small climbing exercise than a comfortable sea access. In my view, this access is hardly suitable for older or physically limited guests. The pool is pleasantly large, but the water had a slight yellow tint during our stay. There was not much left to be seen of the former azure blue. The fruit bowl by the pool, which used to be regularly filled – once a small but wonderful hallmark of zest for life and generosity – also remains empty now. Unfortunately, such details show very clearly the direction in which the hotel is developing. The daily newspaper that used to be provided every day has also been replaced by an app that is cumbersome for me. For me, the morning newspaper by the pool was one of the small highlights of the stay for many years. Reading in peace, without having to use a mobile phone for it, was a piece of true vacation quality. I sorely miss this cherished ritual today. Digitalization can be useful – but it should not replace everything that gives a hotel atmosphere, personality, and quality of life. It is also incomprehensible that there is no reasonable changing facility for all guests on the beach side. Anyone who wants to change their wet swim trunks after swimming has practically no suitable alternative. When I therefore discreetly changed in a toilet stall, I was reprimanded by the hotel manager personally in a tone that I found inappropriate and demeaning. If the hotel does not offer a suitable changing facility, it should at least treat its guests with understanding and enable a reasonable solution. The breakfast is still good, but even here, initial cutbacks in quality are noticeable. The fact that sparkling wine is offered to guests at breakfast is basically nice. However, if there is only Secco or semi-secco instead of brut, that is about the same to me as if someone were to dictate that I drink my coffee with sugar. A dry alternative should be a matter of course in a hotel of this category. I found the handling of the late check-out to be particularly petty: Even an extension of a mere half hour was only offered for a payment of 40 euros. That may be formally permissible, but it does not seem generous or particularly appreciative for long-standing regular guests. American Express is also no longer accepted now. Of course, every hotel can decide for itself which payment methods it accepts. For an establishment of this category and with an international clientele, I nevertheless perceive this restriction as a further step backward in service. Amenities that were once taken for granted are gradually disappearing. The superior rooms offer a wonderful view. I have known and visited this establishment for around 15 years and can therefore judge its development well. Unfortunately, despite a prior request to TUI and repeated notifications on-site, no solution could be found for a neighbor who smoked constantly in their room. Especially between 9 PM and 4 AM, smoke regularly drifted over the balcony into our room. This significantly impaired the quality of our stay. Effective relief was not provided despite our request. I would like to explicitly highlight the staff: They are extremely friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I could hardly wish for it to be any better. The cleaning staff especially deserve recognition: Their work was 100 percent reliable, thorough, and excellent. There was absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the cleanliness of the rooms. For me, the staff remains the greatest strength of this hotel. In contrast, I find the management's handling of complaints less convincing. Even with small concerns, they refer to decisions made by the higher-ranking, much-praised boss. This creates the impression that responsibility is being passed on instead of speaking openly and in a solution-oriented manner with the guest on-site. For an establishment with these standards, I do not consider this a good approach. My conclusion: The Son Moll Sentits continues to have a fantastic location, rooms with a dreamlike view, as well as exceptionally friendly staff and outstanding cleaning personnel. But the many small cost-cutting measures, the cramped conditions, the declining quality, and the inflexible handling of guest requests can no longer be overlooked. For me, this hotel is currently **a star that is slowly fading**. It is still shining – but corrective action needs to be taken soon. My rating of **6 out of 10 points** is therefore already generous.

Excellent location. The hotel was lovely all the staff were so nice, we felt very welcome and they had some lovely touches such as a little message and little chocolates delivered to the room every night, I really appreciated this. Also Eclipse glasses left in our room which was a lovely thought. The entertainment was nice they always had a singer on which was nice to sit and listen to at the pool area or have a lite dance. The room was fantastic with the most amazing view. The resort was mainly German as previous reviews which was no problem everyone was nice and friendly, no issues. Translating some of the menus was difficult as there wasn’t usually an English translation but I did use Chat GPT to translate at times to see what things were but I didn’t was if the view I should learn some basic languages rather than expect people to all speak English in a different country, everyone’s English was better than my Spanish/German 😀. Restaurants were really nice we forgot to try the hotel restaurant for an evening meal as we ate out and had a walk around the town every night which was lovely. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very nice so much choice and again nice touches pancakes/smoothies the chef would make you an omelette or what you requested. We went on the little train one day which was a nice little ride to Cala Agulla and one afternoon went on a boat to Cala Millor we never got to the lighthouse as we were so hot walking so maybe next time do more exploring. We had a lovely relaxing time between the beach and pool, the sun beds were full a lot of the time but we did manage, it was very hot so sometimes sat in the shade around pool until one became available. There are the lovely Balinese beds we had been using when the sun beds were full but then on the last day we were told we were meant to reserve these at reception so not sure if you are meant to pay but we hadn’t known this, they come and take drink orders or food orders while you are around pool which was so good. Would love to return was a great experience and thank you to the hotel staff! You have a wonderful hotel in a gorgeous location. Booked through TUI and all went very well.

My stay at Son Moll Sentits Hotel was truly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the very moment I arrived, I was welcomed by Ramona, who immediately made me feel at home. She was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely caring.  It was clear that the staff wanted every guest to feel comfortable from the very beginning. A special thank you also goes to the Hotel Manager, Marcel. His warm smile, great sense of humor, and genuine interest in his guests made a huge difference throughout my stay. Every day he made sure I was enjoying myself, that everything was perfect, and that I had everything I needed. He truly cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to make every stay unforgettable. What impressed me the most was the incredible teamwork throughout the entire hotel. The reception staff worked tirelessly to ensure every guest had the best possible experience. The housekeeping team always greeted everyone with a smile, creating such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen staff and waiters provided exceptional service that exceeded anything I have experienced before. Their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism made every meal a pleasure. It honestly felt like everyone at Son Moll Sentits Hotel shared the same goal: to make every guest feel special and to create the perfect holiday. That level of dedication is rare and deserves the highest praise. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
