Palmira Paradise Hotel

Can only report on Block 1. Rooms are not clean, outdated and broken, mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable, beds keep sliding apart. In the bathroom, you have to be careful that the sink doesn't come off the wall. Carpets laid in the hallway, but no vacuum cleaner in the building🤦‍♀️. Request for 1 more towel was denied by the maid. Pool towels cost 4 euros, safe also costs 3 euros a day. Expressway and highway behind the house. Balcony much too small. The hotel has taken on 2 more hotels, the dining room is much too small, more like a cafeteria. So, not for us here anymore.

Where do I start - Coming to this hotel, we hadn’t looked at the reviews on trip advisor. We arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with a smell of sewage coming up from the shower or ventilation. We brought this up as a concern and got advices with spray to use in the shower as a solution. Our cards had stopped working 5 times in 12 days, we were also in block 4 so the walk back and forth is frustrating. Older lady at reception with blonde hair wasn’t nice or apologetic at all and blamed me for keeping it close to my phone when I hadn’t! They had 3 fire alarms during our stay, all around 3am. We looked out our door and balcony to see if something was going on but zero staff around. The least you can do is come and apologise and reassure your guests! The rooms looking at the reviews seem to have an ant infestation. We had so much around the bathroom. This hotel I feel is lacking the customer service and service it needs to be a ‘4 star’ hotel. Otherwise the location of the hotel is great and near the beach.

The hotel is quite old; they gave it a facelift by painting the doors and putting in two new pieces of furniture, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The towels are paper-thin and the cleaning is quite poor. The buffet is basic, it feels like The Hunger Games with a deafening noise. It is not a 4-star, not even close; it only resembles one in the price, but for the rest, not even close.
