Cala d'Or

Lovely week away in Hotel Cala D’or. Fab large room with comfy beds, balcony view of ocean and beach. Staff at reception ( especially Adrian) and breakfast were so obliging and helpful. Hotel gorgeous, pool great temperature, decent gym. The best thing about the hotel for us, was Vivian’s yoga and Pilates classes at the beach shala every morning, setting us up for a great start to the day. This would make an awesome yoga retreat venue. Vivian also took us on an excursion to a local town which we thoroughly enjoyed. A few small things we would add to improve the holiday would be ceiling fans in the yoga shala and free drinking water available for guests. More veggie food choices at the cafe poolside bar.

Our friends introduced us to this hotel as they went last year, they said how good it was. Six of us booked for 4 nights, and we definitely agree with them. We were giving a garden view room (315) on the top floor, it was a great size . Towels were changed regularly and the rooms were kept clean. There was a kettle with tea and coffee in every room. The balcony overlooked the back of the hotel and the road, but as it was very quiet this wasn't a problem. The breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of choice and good quality ingredients. We never had a problem finding a sunbed, as there were plenty scattered around the pool area and in other areas. The pool bar was great, the staff worked very hard to keep the drinks and the food arriving quickly. The ease of getting on to the beach was a reason for booking, down a few steps and through a private gate. The beach also had a bar, it was a great place for a beer and food. Even though the hotel was on a quiet road a five minute walk and you were in the bars and restaurants. We had some great meals and found some great bars. You could also walk down to the marina in 10 mins where you will find more great restaurants and bars. Walking around the marina you can admire the millions of pounds worth of boats. We had two great meals there. My final words go to the staff at this hotel, always smiling and happy to help you in any way. There was always someone on reception if you had any problems. This is a great hotel in a great position. Please dont tell everyone about it as we want to be able to go again. 😎
