This hotel doesn’t deserve the bad reviews it gets, it’s a great place the staff are great, food there is so much choice and options don’t know how anyone can moan about that. So many pools to keep the kids entertained, waterpark great. The rooms are small but your never in them so that’s fine, the only downside for us was how busy it was coming in July.

I booked for my family of 5 before I read the reviews. When I did I was both horrified at what I read and also really confused as to how given some of the things I read that over 50% of the reviews were excellent. Having now stayed for a week I can now see both sides. Firstly this hotel is 3 star and very cheap (£3500 for 5 for an all-inclusive week with flights) and on paper it looks amazing. It is also huge consisting of 3 separate hotels totalling circa 1,000 rooms and therefore there is 3,000 – 4,000 people on the site at any one time which comes with its own issues and goes someway to explaining how it divides opinion. This place is fundamentally Ok, imo not good just Ok. Its clean, the rooms albeit very basic are fine and the water is always hot and good showers. There is food and drink available for 16 hours of the day and whilst a bit repetitive and samey the buffet is ok and if you don’t like that there is fresh pizza, sandwiches and cakes in vast quantities. It is not gourmet by any stretch but you won’t go hungry. The pools are clean and there are plenty of sunbeds and all sorts of activities and you also have free access to the waterpark next door. What’s not to like right? The fact is that the facilities, pools, restaurants etc are simply not big enough to cope with the number of people and this is when it becomes less attractive. However hard the staff work (and they work very hard!) they simply can’t serve all those people at once and as a result everywhere is crowded and constantly very busy and very noisy and you queue for everything! You queue for the lifts (both ways), you queue for a drink and you queue for the restaurants and at the various food outlets. You have to be sharp in the morning to get a sunbed and at times there is simply very little clear space in the pools. Similarly at night it is always a fight to find a seat especially if there is 5 of you. Another issue with such a large number of people is the mess that is left. The buffet takes an absolute beating and a well presented tray of food can be destroyed in a few minutes and again the staff just can’t keep up with volume meaning that very often you are left waiting for things to be refilled. There is a lot said on the reviews about the type of guests that stay here. We like most people would consider ourselves normal and we know how to behave in a restaurant, how to drink sensibly and how to monitor our children. Unfortunately not everyone fits into this category and you only need a small percentage of 3,000 -4,000 people for this to be a large number and a noticeable issue. Whilst most people we saw were ‘normal’ considerate families we did experience some very ‘rough’ people. People who see all-inclusive as a challenge in terms of how much they drink and eat, have no thought for others and leave unacceptable mess and waste in their wake. In summary if you can’t afford anything else it is clearly possible to have a good value holiday that the kids will absolutely love. For me however the downsides outweigh the positives and I will definitely not return or recommend. In my view if you can afford it I would urge you to spend a few pounds more and find something smaller, nicer and better. Happy holidays!

This is a great hotel for families with kids especially younger kids. For such a massive busy complex it is run really well from the maintenance staff to the catering staff and cleaning staff, and any staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We had a corner room in Jupiter and it was so quiet. Room was on the smaller side but worked fine apart from air conditioning that was not cold enough at any time during our stay, I received an email from the guest satisfaction team asking if we had any issues which to me said that this hotel cares about its guests as I've never had that in all our holidays abroad and in fairness maintenance did attend it twice and replaced a part but this did not help. Second time he just put his hand up to the fan and said it's working. This made sleeping uncomfortable and during a heatwave having to come back to a warm room was not ideal but we got on with it. Lots of options to dine with the hotel buffet, burgervan, pizza van and quesadilla van. Plenty for the kids to do with all the pools, mini golf, swans on the lake, the water park just a min away which is also included and more. There's a bus every 30 mins to the beach/port and back which is great too. It happened to be my 40th birthday during our stay and the guest satisfaction team sent a bottle of sparkling wine to our room which was a lovely surprise and much appreciated and any issues brought to the satisfaction team were dealt with! I would say to anyone who has any doubts about going here to book it, we were pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel was all round!
