Would not recommend this hotel. We specifically chose an adults-only hotel because we were hoping for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Instead, it turned out to be a party hotel filled with loud German teenagers and adults who made noise until 5–6 a.m. almost every single night. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this is definitely not the place. From the moment we arrived, the service was disappointing. We weren’t informed about breakfast times or even told that the room key was supposed to be worn on our wrist at all times. This became relevant later during our stay. The room itself was very small and poorly designed. There was no proper ceiling light, only two small bedside lamps, meaning you had to fully open the curtains during the day just to see anything. Unfortunately, our room faced the pool, so everyone outside could look directly inside. The walls were paper thin, making it impossible not to hear every conversation, every door slam, and every person walking through the corridors. Our room also overlooked the pool area, meaning we had to listen to the DJ’s loud music every evening until around 11 p.m. The bathroom offered virtually no privacy as there wasn’t even a proper door. On our first day we noticed the shower head was cracked and reported it immediately, but nothing was done throughout our entire 10-day stay. Sleep was almost impossible. Every night from around 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. there was constant shouting, laughing, banging on doors and people running through the hallways. It honestly felt more like a hostel for partygoers than an adults-only hotel. Unfortunately, it got even worse. We found cockroaches in the bathroom. One crawled out from underneath the toilet in the middle of the night because the toilet wasn’t properly sealed to the floor. We reported it to reception, and their solution was simply to apply silicone around the toilet instead of properly addressing the issue. During our stay there was also a water leak outside our room, and one night the batteries in our door lock died, leaving our room unlocked. Thankfully this was fixed quickly, but it certainly didn’t inspire confidence. The worst experience happened on our second-to-last night. We returned late after watching the FIFA World Cup celebrations and were stopped by the security guard before entering the lifts. He asked to see our room keys, which were apparently supposed to be worn on our wrists at all times. We had removed the wristbands on the first day for hygiene reasons, and nobody had ever informed us they needed to stay on permanently. I had my fiancé’s room key in my pouch to avoid carrying both keys around. As soon as I showed it, the guard immediately assumed it belonged to my fiancé and questioned me. I explained that my own key was upstairs in my backpack and I would have happily shown it if asked. As an Asian woman, I couldn’t help but feel profiled. The guard seemed to assume my fiancé was the primary guest and treated me as if I didn’t belong there. He eventually said, “I’ll let you go this time,” while smirking at my fiancé. The whole interaction was disrespectful, humiliating and completely unnecessary. The following morning, when we checked out, the very same guard saw both of us returning our room keys together and then told another receptionist to assist us. That only reinforced how inappropriate his assumptions had been the night before. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment. Poor communication, terrible sound insulation, constant noise, maintenance issues, cockroaches, and an unacceptable interaction with security completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. The only positive thing I can honestly mention is the breakfast, which was very good. Other than that, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday.

Based on the beautiful pictures we chose to go to Caramelo Palma Beach. The reality is completely different from what is portrayed in the photos. You are in a concrete environment, the finishing level in the rooms could be better and the greenery you have to look for with a magnifying glass. I think it's fun for young people, especially if you want to party with your friends. You can order food, you have to pay in advance, you get a beeper, there is zero personal contact. If you ask for a beach towel you will be corrected, that it is a pool towel, not a beach towel (okeejyyy..) and you will be reminded that you must pay the deposit in cash. Didn't understand right away, so with my phone ready to pay... I got the wind from the front. I was stunned, didn't expect you to have to rent towels anyway, we weren't told anything about it during check-in. Anyway, moral of the story, are you a bit older .. rather pay a bit more and go somewhere else or if you are young and want to party with your friends .. then fun! We leave at least a few days early, would like to maintain the holiday feeling:)

Firstly, I want to say this hotel isn’t all bad. The food was genuinely excellent and is probably the only reason I would rate it as highly as I have. However, there were far too many negatives for us to return. The hotel looks modern and stylish in the photos, but in reality it feels quite run down. The pool area especially needs attention, with loose decking boards and screws sticking out in places. The sun umbrellas also don’t move, so if you’re trying to get out of the sun, you’re pretty much out of luck. The hotel is predominantly aimed at German guests. As English visitors, we honestly felt invisible for most of the holiday. Apart from the cleaners, who weren’t particularly friendly themselves, hardly any staff spoke to us or even smiled. If you’re English and hoping for a more mixed atmosphere, I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel or even this area. The rooms are very small with no proper wardrobe space. The balcony is tiny and enclosed, and the balcony door is incredibly difficult to open. The bathroom is also very small, and instead of a proper bathroom door there’s a sliding wooden panel that doesn’t close properly, meaning there’s very little privacy. The biggest issue by far was the noise. The walls are paper thin. We were woken up on five out of our seven nights by extremely loud guests between 2:00am and 4:30am. On the other two mornings, we were woken early by cleaners repeatedly banging beds against the walls while cleaning rooms. We complained 4 times during our stay, but nothing changed. The air conditioning was also very disappointing. Even on its lowest setting, our room never went below 22°C, which is simply not good enough in the middle of July. The food was by far the best part of the hotel. Breakfast offered a huge selection of fresh, high-quality food every morning. Lunch and dinner were equally impressive, with plenty of choice and everything we tried was delicious. The music around the pool wasn’t to our taste. A DJ plays house music from around 11am until 6 or 7pm every day, often repeating the same songs. On Fridays and Saturdays the hotel sells day passes, making the pool extremely busy, and evening beach parties take place until around 11pm. If you’re looking for a lively party hotel, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday and a good night’s sleep, this definitely isn’t the place. A few useful things we only discovered because we asked: your wristband can be used to pay for drinks and purchases around the hotel as well as acting as your room key, which is really convenient. Pool towels are available for €10 each, but again, nobody told us this on arrival. The beach is only about a five-minute walk away and is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is also heavily geared towards German tourists. Throughout our entire week we didn’t hear any English music, and there were very few English-speaking visitors. Palma city is around a 15-20 minute taxi ride away. We paid around €32 each way, which felt quite expensive. Overall, if you’re looking for a lively party hotel where sleep isn’t a priority, this hotel may suit you. If you’re hoping for a relaxing holiday with friendly service and a good night’s sleep, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. We wish we had done some more research ourselves before coming to this area. We felt VERY let down by TUI.
