Hostal Amistad

Excellent place to relax and spend some wonderful beach days. You have access to the kitchen and a large living room. The room was spotless with everything necessary. You also have all the shops within a stone's throw. The service could not have been better. If you are going to use public transportation, there are buses that connect to the airport and to the center of Palma. We will definitely repeat. Highly recommended.

An unfortunate incident like we have never experienced before. At bedtime, cockroaches were already occupying the premises. The reception, which was not on-site, struggled to respond to us and find a fallback solution (we certainly were not going to sleep with the cockroaches). On the phone, the receptionist informed me that no rooms were available in the entire group of hotels and that we needed to find another hotel for the night ourselves. I then went on booking at 11 PM and realized that a room was available in the very hotel where the receptionist in question works. I therefore call him, exasperated, to indicate that I knew they had available rooms. He then replies to wait until midnight when the room becomes unsellable on booking to come to the hotel and access the said room. Of course, it was a 15-minute drive and there was no parking. Following this eventful evening, the next day we request compensation because we had a horrible evening and are worried about having brought cockroaches in our suitcase. Surprise, the hotel refuses any compensation and does not even apologize! We therefore filed a complaint with booking, but the establishment refused any negotiation.

We stayed for one night while travelling. Clean room with refridgerator, safe, closet and balcony. Close to the city center but still in a quiet area. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Not a luxury hotel but does its job for the lean traveller.
