Spent a week here on our honeymoon. This is in reality, not a 5 star hotel. We had several issues. On the positive the hotel is beautifully set up and clean. Cecilia at breakfast service was wonderful and the breakfast is very good. On the downside, despite mentioning this when booking, we were surprised that the hotel made no gesture to acknowledge that this was our honeymoon during our stay. The rooms are clean spacious but the decor is dated and the bathrooms need upgrading. Also, there are no true sea view rooms as the hotel faces the mountains. The first room we were given had a shower curtain which is not acceptable in a 5 star hotel. The second room the air conditioning was not remotely adequate and the shower was either freezing or scalding with no in-between. The shower also flooded. The hotel has an issue with providing towels. The pool towels are not towels at all but pieces of cloth and if you ask for more you have to pay a deposit. We asked for fresh ones half way through our stay which seemed to provoke irritation and then refusal. After a heated exchange they were changed but this all seemed entirely unnecessary. The owners/managers appear at breakfast but never acknowledge their guests. One had her friends in for a noisy breakfast which seemed counter to the claim of a quiet hotel. Very odd managerial behaviour. The gym is poorly equipped and has neither towels or water provided. The air conditioning was erratic here too meaning the 3 times we used it, it was very hot. Some of these points I see have been mentioned in other reviews but clearly ignored by the hotel which seems extraordinary. With regret, we will not return.

Once again, our third time staying with our friends at La Moraleja. Impeccable and peaceful, stunning rooms which are spotlessly clean. Every member of staff go above and beyond with happiness, with joy and a smile. Gabriella takes great pride in her hotel and this is reflected in the care and love that all the staff have for it too. You will never go hungry at breakfast with a wide selection of fresh ingredients and a wonderful daily 'special' In our opinion, La Moraleja is excellent value for money too. We can't wait to return to see you all again. With love and best wishes, Norman and Eleanor.

It’s adult only and really quiet, at least pre-season when we had been visiting. It’s great to relax. Breakfast is until 11:00 and offers a nice variety of quality choices for British and continental taste with different local specialties. Rooms are large and our suite had a private terrace, to the south, which is nice but can be hot already pre-season without a shade. Interior is on the traditional side but that is a matter of taste. Mattresses were really hard. Everyone likes this differently but I have seen a fair share of hotels and can’t remember such hard ones. The location is a bit off the beaten tourist paths at the beginning of Sant Vincenc. It’s about 5-8 min walking downhill to two different small bays. The village feels a bit run down in places. There is a limited choice of few restaurants and a beach bar at the southern bay. There are busses to Port de Pollenca but we preferred a car to get around. I deduct two points because: 1) the homepage promises more than you should expect. Certainly the hotel upholds services but it does not compare to true 5 star hotels. Which is not necessarily, as the rates were also competitive but it could lead to disappointment. The dinner menu was limited to four choices, and there is nothing wrong with a small but good selection. We had dinner first night and food and service were indeed good. The usual markup of hotel restaurants. However, the menu didn’t change the next nights (I didn’t bother to check thought the entire stay) and so we preferred to dine out. There was only one other couple eating that night. The pools and resort area are way smaller than the homepage makes you think. Which was not a problem in itself as the hotel was not fully booked, I believe, and more than enough pool chairs to choose from. Still, it feels a bit narrow between two streets (not much traffic/noise, not at all in the rooms). Some things could benefit from a bit of renovation, like the breakfast area wicker chairs: some had broken branches that can easily cut. There were two, what I believe, managers onsite, though none ever introduced themselves to us or asked how we feel, which is a bit unusual for small or family owned houses. The staff themselves were attentive and friendly though. 2) The hotel is located in a windy spot uphill of the beach. This may be welcomed in the summer heat but mad us stay away from the pool for more than the exceptional one or two hours of some less windy days. We went down to the beach instead, which is more sheltered. It would help to have some wind breakers around the pool area.
