Nixe Palace

Excellent hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Staff who are super, super friendly, and very helpful. The breakfast is very good, yet clearly much, much less than in their other 5 star hotel in Valencia of the same chain where we have already stayed several times. Reception and guest relations very helpful and super friendly. We had a nice room with reasonably large terrace. It is a pity that there are no facilities to sit in the shade on your own terrace of your room. A parasol was not allowed, because of danger to the wind, which I can understand. But then an extendable sun tent would have to. After all, it is a 5 star hotel.

Lovely hotel on a stunning beach. Staff are lovely and very helpful and the food is high quality. Beds are very comfortable and i recommend a sea view room if you can. I am already looking to rebook for august.

We are astonished that this hotel has 5 stars. It is located in the middle of a run down town with very little to offer. There wasn’t too much of an atmosphere to the hotel. The staff seemed to show little interest in some of the issues that went on. The rooms were nothing special and seemed like a Premier Inn in size and very expensive. We didn’t believe they were value for money. On the whole, we felt the cleanliness was dealt with round the pool when people were out there. It would seem more sense to have it cleaned the night before. One morning there was vomit around the pool and cigarette butts all over the floor. The noise level was unbearable on a couple of days when a large group descended for a wedding. They crammed the very small pool and were drinking and smoking giving no consideration to others. Management were informed but the bar staff seemed to show little interest. The sun beds around the pool were extremely crammed in which was not acceptable in my view. Smoking was taking place all round the outside spaces of the hotel which I think should be flagged up. The access to the beach was not fully explained before our arrival and was 49 steps down and 49 back. All it mentioned was that access was an issue with no more explanation. The breakfast was very disappointing with warm milk and juices. Some of the staff seemed totally disinterested with the problems and some food was served cold.
