We had a 7 night stay and can say we were very happy, day time activities and evening entertainment are excellent, drinks are well priced, staff are amazing and all work extremely hard, the fine dining which you get once on your holiday was excellent and very tasty, I do think the food slightly lets the place down and is average at breakfast and an evening, other than that it’s a lovely relaxing and safe place and would definitely recommend and return.

We stayed in a twin room with the large balcony. The views were spectacular and the sunrise stunning.
Everyone member of staff are wonderful, so hard working and attentive. The food was delicious, something different every night and such variety.
If you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
If you want bar's and a stroll in the evening there is plenty to do. Everywhere is flat so walking around is easy.
Brilliant holiday, thank you for making our stay so memorable!

I'm sorry to be writing this review after having had so many happy holidays at this hotel. We've been visiting here since 2012 with family who have been to this hotel for thirty years. Although we returned to the hotel last year after the pandemic and a bereavement.
This hotel is in a great location, cleanliness is fantastic.
The contempt that Protur, now shows its guests beggars belief for a 4* hotel.
The food has never been great at this hotel but there had been some improvement over the years however on our return last year it had reached a nadir. Breakfast is average but dinner is appalling. The food is poor quality, in particular the meat and not hot which is ironic as one can burn ones hand on the plates. They have managed to conquer the fly problem that was an issue on the salad bar last year. There are so many food items no longer available such as blue cheese but no longer figs for breakfast. Previously the dessert/pudding selection was good with what appeared to be a competent chef however this is no longer the case. It is as though the budget has been slashed and trainee cooks are running the place. Incidentally the Protur group has a chef competition and operates some first class restaurants one, which we have been to on many occasions , a five minute walk from the hotel. There are no longer drinks menus in the restaurant.
The waiting staff are despondent unlike how they used to be, happy bubbly and helpful. Thankfully the head waiter from last year has gone.
The main bar used to have a good wine selection however this is no longer the case a friend asked for a bottle of wine to be told he would have to go to the restaurant to buy one as the bar no longer stocks bottles, (4*).
One positive is that the entertainments staff has been replaced with some one competent.
The rooms are very tired and need, a refurbishment.
We returned to our room on the second day to find two bottles of water with a note saying welcome back. I found this insulting, any 4* hotel provides water in the fridge on arrival as a norm but this was a welcome back after around nine or ten visits!!!!
We along with many other guests usually take our breakfast coffee to the seating area by the pool however the management have stopped this by blocking the exit to the pool area with a large cabinet. This prevents this but also blocks what would be the main fire exit in the event of a kitchen fire.
A guest complained about the TV reception in the hotel, World Cup was on, to be told that it was a result of Brexit. The TV reception in the hotel has always been poor, the TV's have never been tuned in properly.
This hotel has a very large returning client base and we meet many people there year after year but I have never heard so many people complaining about the hotel.
A final note, I always go down to the pool early with a coffee in the morning, I had been there for an hour when my wife arrived and we went for breakfast. On our return 45 minutes later we were met by a card telling us not to reserve sunbeds. This had a time on the card 10 minutes after we went for breakfast. While I accept that some people abuse the sunbeds this is taking it too far. There is plenty of space for everyone to have a sunbed,as in the past, however Protur have reduced the sunbed areas.
Protur need to get the customer care training updated and some CHEFS.
