Protur Floriana Resort

We have returned from another ten day stay at the Floriana hotel (this was our third year in a row). We absolutely adore this hotel! We have been all over Majorca for a number of years and just keep coming back to this wonderful place. It has everything you need to entertain kids, it is safe and welcoming. No sun bed wars either despite peak season. The hotel is very clean. The food is gorgeous and has something for everyone. The Italian restaurant was wonderful and I would pay money for that meal again. We had friends arriving after us this year who had recently got married and the kind reception staff and porter let us into their room prior to arriving to set up some decorations too, which we really appreciated. One thing we also noticed was that it is the same staff who have been there each time we have visited, still looking happy to be there. Which says a lot for their management. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I have so much more I could say about this special place. Can’t wait to come back again.

We have recently returned from here as a family of 5- 6, 3 and 1 year old and also had my brother and his family stay too with their 6 and 1.5 year old. We had a brilliant holiday. from arriving to the hotel, we were very impressed. Everything is so clean and tidy. Areas are well maintained. We asked prior to arrival if we could have a room next to my brothers family and this was accommodated for. Room facilities were great, it is so much easier having a kitchenette when you have a young family, even if you are all inclusive, having a fridge and a microwave made it so much easier when storing and heating baby milk. the air conditioning in the room was great and we were provided with clean towels when needed. we had a ground floor room and this was great with the buggies for the kids. The only small issues i had with the room is that we had some ants coming in from the balcony, we called reception and within 3 minutes there were staff who came to deal with the ants and we didn’t see any more following this. One other thing which i would have liked is an option to lock the door with a bolt from the inside. having a 3 year old who could reach the door handle was giving me anxiety so in the night i was pushing the pram up against the door so it couldn’t be opened in the night by my toddler. She didn’t make an attempt but i think having a bolt or chain would help give parents piece of mind. the restaurant was brilliant, very clean and tidy, food continuously being restocked, lots of choice and was very glad to see chicken nugget options every day, which is so helpful when you have fussy kids. they loved the ice cream counter. staff very attentive and cleaning up tables efficiently. We didn’t know about this when we booked but there is an italian restaurant. we got to go there one night of our holiday and were given a date and time on check in for this. we really enjoyed this, the food was exceptional and again so clean and beautifully presented. there is a little bar in the middle of the square pool and kids pool which is easily accessible and have all drinks, slushes, ice creams which was great. We didn’t realise how many pools there were, on booking i thought there were just two but i think there about 6. our favorite was the kids pool, this is was great and we spent most of our time by this pool. the square pool by the restaurant was our second favorite and there were also activities going on here. it was nice as our room was in the middle of these two pools and i feel the location we had was great. loungers were never a problem, there is signage to say no towels down before 9am so there’s no silliness with people reserving loungers, we would go over and pop one down before having breakfast and then go there. Great that this was not an issue and then even moving later in the afternoon over to one of the other pools there were available loungers. one thing which was also great is that there is grass surrounding the kids pool and there are additional loungers spotted around so there’s no extra options with these too, handy when baby was fed up in the pool; we could sit whilst he played on the grass with a ball and there’s a few trees too so you could sit in the shade if you wanted. the hotel is a few streets back from a busy area on the front with restaurants, bars, shops and the beach front so quite a bit to do within a short walk and then there’s cala millor a bit further up with front, probably about a 20 minute walk but there also a cycle track and you can hire family bikes to ride along. The evening entertainment was good, we didn’t see it every night due to the younger kids, they all wanted to run off in different directions so we had a more relaxed evening being back in the room, we sat with my brothers family on the balcony and could hear the music, we were close enough to the bar to enjoy a few drinks in the room, the cocktails i had were so nice, i think it was called a protur special, i only needed about 2 of these too, they were very strong! but so nice! around the stage area is a volleyball area with sand and a football court, the kids enjoyed playing in these early evening. overall we were super pleased with this holiday, everything went smoothly and i for the price we paid, it exceeded my expectations, I would definitely return here in the future. Also a mention regarding the staff in the main restaurant, there were one or two members who were so friendly with the children and babies and made the effort to say hello and make a fuss of them every time we went in there. 6th - 16th July 2026 Unbelievable time and place. There are actually 6 outdoor pools (3 adult & 3 kids) which isn’t properly detailed in any info. Protur Floriana is a small village - not a complex. We were self catering as it suits us better. We had drinks there every day and ate occasionally. All good quality and reasonably priced. Apartments were spotless and more than adequate. Cleaned on six of our ten days there. No issues getting a sunbed, though on our last few days it was starting to become more challenging. Usual case of selfish people reserving with towels then not turning up until lunchtime. Move their towels and relocate the sunbeds. Walk to the strip is 5 minutes once you work out the route. Cala Bona into Cala Millor is essentially one large strip with endless restaurants and bars, running right along the seafront. It’s beautiful and you’re spoilt for choice. This region of Mallorca is stunningly beautiful and the local cuisine is superb. Avoid the ‘touristy’ restaurants and cafes and find the places where the locals flock to. For example; Cafe Sureda is the closest cafe to Protur Floriana yet it’s only Spanish go there. A coffee, 2 milkshakes, 2 small baguettes and a Lolly = €14 - quality of food/drinks is superb. So many top restaurants, like Panetosta, Stanley’s, Portobello and more lined from the port in Cala Bona all the way to Cala Millor. A complete flat walking route. Upon typing we’ve booked to go back to Protur Floriana. The staff are the stars of the show. From service, to maintenance and cleaning - they couldn’t have been more helpful. We had to shut apartments mid vacation. They had us sorted in one hour.
