Sol Cala D'Or Apts.

We've stayed at this hotel before years ago as a cheap little break - honestly I wouldn't ever bother coming back. We've had issue after issue - rude staff, the room phone hanging off the wall / hairdryer not working / electric in the room going off (was told to find and check the fuse box when reported this to reception) / sunbeds gone at the crack of dawn / pool being rammed in like sardines algae in the pool. but the biggest problem - the air con breaking for now over 24 hours. We let the reception know and yet it's still not been fixed. When you're on a 4th floor, with heat rising and the room hitting 35 degrees overnight it's been unbearable. About 3am I rang reception to see if they had any room with air con available as we haven't slept all evening due to the heat now becoming unbearable and was told that they staff were also warm on reception? (Little bit different to being in a roof room, trying to sleep, and PAYING for aircon?) and that there wasn't a single room free to move to. Never have I been so happy to checkout and leave a hotel. Honestly, save your money and go elsewhere.

The location of these apartments is amazing and the pool is great. The snack bar was well priced and had a good selection of drinks and food. We had no problem with getting sun beds up to 10am. My main issue is that our fridge did not work properly for the whole of the time we were there. Water pooled on the floor at the back of the fridge so I put a towel down to soak it up. I had to try to tape the fridge shut as it felt like the seal had gone. I spoke to reception about it twice. They said they’d look at it and they didn’t. I had to go to reception to get more towels as our room was not cleaned, and bedding changed, on the day this was due to be done. Again, I was assured our apartment would be cleaned as priority. It didn’t happen, then nobody did it the next day either. I gave up in the end as our holiday was almost over. It’s a shame as we always found the staff at the snack bar and reception very friendly. I am not sure if the issue I had was with the one member of staff who I spoke to about both issues. The fridge issue made our holiday a lot more expensive.

Top marks 👌, we've 3 days left of a 2 week stay in this fantastic hotel .I can't find fault with anything. The staff have been great 👍 the housekeeping top class, the location is perfect. We will definitely be back
