Son Sant Jordi

Our garden room at this hotel was very charming with pretty canopy and antique furniture and nice en-suite. However the air conditioning is basically non existent which in unexpectedly high temperatures in June left us absolutely sweltering. The nice lady on reception gave us a fan which helped but it was still so hot that we left one night early in search of aircon that worked. The breakfast is served in the garden by a lovely waiter but wasn’t overly inspiring and by the time we came down to the last sitting fruit was wilting, most of the cheese had been taken and it was all looking a bit sad in the heat. We gave it a miss on the second morning. The garden is very nice but very small as is the pool and very airless and there are not may shady places so you have to be a sun lover to enjoy it fully but it’s a big bonus in Pollenca to find a hotel with any outside space at all. It clearly has a loyal following but would not to everyone’s taste and in very hot weather was a challenge.

Excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful, with a very central location but, at the same time, very quiet. The service received has been exceptional: the entire team attended to us with great warmth, closeness, and kindness. In addition, the buffet was delicious, with a great variety and quality products. Without a doubt, a stay worth repeating!

We had stayed at this hotel before so did not hesitate in returning.We were returning for a family wedding and our 40th wedding anniversary. I had asked for an upgrade however this did not happen. The room was small and extremely hot as the aircon didn’t work correctly consequently we had 5 poor nights sleep. The room itself was a little tired and the bathroom definitely could do with sympathetic modernisation. ( the bath had a chip in it) The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful so the above was disappointing. The hotel is situated perfectly near the old town but in a quiet square. It is a quirky and traditional hotel with a beautiful garden including a parrot! The breakfast is good and buffet style and there is the option of cooked eggs etc. The adjoining restaurant facing the square is excellent and offers traditional Mallorcan food. I returned to the hotel but felt a little disappointed this time and sleep deprived! We were given beach towels and pool towels which was a great help and a lovely packed breakfast for our journey home.
