Viva Mallorca

Would highly recommend a stay at Zafiro Mallorca. The staff were all so lovely and friendly and helpful. The resort is really nice and really well kept. The pool was really good, the kids loved the inflatable bubble slide in the pool. The food was really good with a really good selection to choose from every day. The two a la carte restaurants were both really good (note these are not included in the half board price). There was some really good entertainment including acrobatic shows and singing. The kids games and disco were really great and the kids staff were really great with the kids. It was really hot when we went and the air con in the rooms was really good. We explored the area nearby and visited lots of lovely beaches. It's a great base for exploring.

We have just got back from a week at Zafiro Mallorca which was a really lovely hotel. When we first arrived we were a little disappointed as it didn’t appear as aesthetically pleasing as other hotels we have stayed in. That quickly wore off though and we found it to be a very good family hotel, that our children (8&6) loved. There are just a few little things that annoyed me but didn’t spoil the holiday. ROOMS We had a ‘swim up room’ and I would recommend this if you have children. More so than the rooms with private pools as they are quite small. The swim up pool stretches the length of 7 other rooms that it is shared with. Kids can swim all long here and for large parts of the day you may find you have the pool to yourself. The one ‘irk’ I have is that you can’t actually swim up to anywhere. There is no access to the main pool from these pools and you find yourself having to go back through the room and out to the pool. A ladder and gate at the end by room 2015 (I think) would be a really practical addition for next year please! I would also request that the outside areas of these rooms should be made non smoking. The last 2 days we had smokers next to us which wasn’t great as you are sharing the same outside space and smoke drifted over to where we were sat. Inside the rooms are a little dated decor wise but you have everything you need and they were very clean. FOOD I thought the food was very good for buffet style. There was always a good variety and my wife who is a coeliac wax guided through gluten free options. Fresh pizza and pasta was made on her request. Food does sometimes run out but I quite liked that the hotel were not mass producing and having lots of waste. Breakfast was the busiest time but to my amazement lunch and dinner were fairly quiet and relaxed. That’s not usually the case with all inclusive hotels. The two alacarte restaurants also provided lovely meals. One annoyance though was that there were never enough bowls or spoons available! Eating cereal with a tea spoon from a coffee cup was a little tiresome! FINAL BITS We found all staff to be very helpful and friendly and entertainment was as expected! We didn’t venture out much, only to the beach so I can’t really comment on location but a taxi to the airport was €95 and took about 50 minutes. The beach was about 10 minutes away and was pleasant enough. I’m not sure what the pool towel situation was, never really got to the bottom of it, as there was a two hour window on a select number of days in which you can get fresh pool towels. We only managed to change them once but it wasn’t an issue as we had our own towels also. There were also a couple of days when the rooms don’t get cleaned but it’s fine. Overall we really enjoyed our stay despite the few things that were annoying but not enough to spoil the holiday! I would recommend this to any families who want a no hassle holiday!

A fantastic experience! The room was spacious and tidy. On 2 days a week there is no cleaning, which is fine. The air conditioning can only be set to 1 setting; which is also loud so somewhat unfortunate. The pool fine and sufficient sunbeds with parasol. Bath towels may be changed 3x a week and supervision. No crazy pests or crazy insects seen. The buffet restaurant has good and varied food. At all inclusive you can use the 2 other restaurants which is also good food. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the entertainment team is top notch! What a positive energy. Program is also top, something for everyone and varied. Although I don’t often go back to a location I would consider it now, because we had a really great time! Highly recommended!
