Hoposa Costa Dor

This small hotel brought everything we expected for our much awaited holiday in Majorca. Nestled in a peaceful small hamlet with a friendly team of staff. We had selected this hotel due to the close proximity to the sea, a short walk downhill to the rocks to gain access. There is a rope and ladder to help get in the sea. Swim shoes or sandals are helpful for this too. We ate dinner on the terrace a few evenings a week which was consistently good and we were well attended by Salvatore and Geraldine, and other waiting staff. Very relaxing atmosphere and we also enjoyed an evening of traditional Spanish guitar. The rooms were large and very clean. The pool area was quiet and plenty of space for everyone. There is a bus stop on the main road for travelling to Deia or Soller. We also availed of the GR221 walking trails to Valldemossa and Port de Soller. Deia is a small pretty village and easy to walk to from the trail below the hotel. There is a small convenience store in Deia which is also useful for essentials. We also met some lovely guests during our stay here.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars, but our experience was overshadowed by a “lost,” wallet that was never found. I had taken my wife’s wallet from the safe & placed in the bed for her to pack before leaving. She didn’t see it & it was left on the bed. Housekeeping was already outside ready to clean the room when we departed. Within 3 hrs or our departure, there had already been fraudulent charges at Palma. We had no other stops before these charges appeared. We called the hotel and no wallet was reported found. Not making any direct accusations, but I would keep a close eye on your belongings, and be mindful of the housekeeping staff. Otherwise, the view was amazing. Rooms were clean & well kept. The breakfast was enjoyable with a lot of variety and fresh fare. And the on-site restaurant was a lovely addition. I just really wish it wasn’t tarnished by this experience.

Beautiful hotel by the sea and on the beach. Wonderful pool. Poolside bar. Excellent staff at the reception. Thanks to Carlos, Carolina, Gala, and Santiago from the restaurant. We will return. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. Wonderful rooms.
