La Mirada

Me and my partner returned on 19th September after a week in la mirada. Our first impressions were lovely and staff were very friendly .when arrriving to our room it wasn’t like the pictures we had seen, it was very dated but clean. The food was terrible, no variety and ok if you like fish and the buffet food was always cold.you had to have a euro for a plate and a horrible plastic cup every time you wanted food or a drink. Calador itself was beautiful and the beach was fantastic, just around the corner. Also as a smoker i didnt know it was a non smoking hotel, you couldn’t even smoke on your balcony and it wasn’t even posh, a bit grubby tbh

I don't understand the negative reviews. Yes it's a 3 star resort. The food is fine no problems finding something to eat. The food has been a good temperature, and plenty of variety. Eddie the barman is fantastic great sence of humour. The rooms. Could be a little cleaner in the bathroom but by no means dirty. The hotel in general is very clean. I have not had an issue with ants and we are on the first floor with direct access to outside. Overall it's a great 3 star hotel. Infact better and friendlier than some 5 star we have stayed in.

We stayed here for a week to Include celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We arrived after midnight due to flight delay. Reception staff were very welcoming however the food selection that had been left was not very appealing bread was left uncovered and very dry! Our room was basic and although it was clean there were still hairs left in the bath. Beware although we were all inclusive they ask you to pay for a safe and pool towels??!! There is a good variety of food but it could be hotter. You need to pay a euro for a plastic cup which is refunded when you return it therefore the pool area is very clean. They could do with more bar staff
