Hotel Mariant Park Thalasso-Spa & Wellness

On the whole it was a very enjoyable holiday, the hotel is fine just needs a little update, food was a bit hit and miss, some days it was really good but some not so and not everything was labelled, luckily we’re not vegan/vegetarian but if you are there really is nothing much except for chips and salad. Not a great variety of drinks but enough, the sangria was one of the best I’ve had, if you had drinks away from the inside bar they were put in paper cups so after about 10 minutes the cup started to go soggy, I get why they do this due to glass around the pool area but maybe reuse-able plastic ones would have been better, staff were great, friendly and hard working. The pool was ok but due to the positioning of the hotel most of the beds were in the shade for a lot of the day. The local area is great with loads of great restaurants a stone’s throw away, the beach is beautiful and only a few minutes walk so that made up for the pool. Probably wouldn’t go back to this hotel mainly because of the pool but the area was lovely definitely worth a visit.

Having booked this 3 star hotel through Jet2 , i thought the hotel would be ok for a reasonable priced getaway for a week. How wrong was I! Let's start with the positives. The cleaner for our room was always happy along with one member of bar staff. The rest seemed.like they didn't want to be there. Here's the negatives. Other non English guests were rude, whilst waiting for the lift after checking in, 2 guests barged their way in to the lift as soon as the door opened, the same nationality guests also barged their way through at mealtimes. Electrical sockets hanging off the wall at child height. The food quality was appalling, it was that bad that we ate out nearly every day. Frozen strawberries! No pool bar just the lobby bar of which you had to be dry to enter. Snacks were left overs from breakfast. Sun loungers that were worn out/broken The rooms were dated and need modernisation. Walls are thin, The air con was more like a fan, it never chilled the room. Water pressure at the basin was poor, after complaining it never got looked at. The hotel experienced a water outage early morning when guests are getting up or having breakfast. It took a couple of hours for bottled water and juice to be provided. You will be disappointed if you book this hotel
