Hotel Samoa

We had an excellent week. The entertainment team is top-notch and does everything to entertain us and make us laugh. Good atmosphere guaranteed. The shows are breathtaking. Bravo to the choreographer Elise and the whole team.

Ideal hotel for families with young children who do not wish to sightsee. You have enough entertainment on-site. Pool, slide, the beach 300 m away. On the other hand, if you wish to sightsee, you are at least a 1-hour drive away, whether it's from Palma, Valldemossa, Soller…. It's also a shame to leave parking spaces empty and charge $10 per day when guests could benefit from them for free; there are at most a dozen free spaces within the hotel, a bit [disappointing]. The buffets are hearty but not of very good quality; the descriptions of the desserts are not indicated, just "varied desserts." You only know if you like it once you taste it.

I am still a guest at the GLOBALES Samoa hotel, advertised to me as being 30 meters from the sea, maximum comfort with everything included and comprehensive assistance. The hotel, because that is what it is, is roughly 200 meters from the sea and you have to climb at least two hundred steep steps, enough to discourage you from going to the sea. It doesn't have a fridge in the room, a bottle of water is not provided as in all places, and at 11:00 PM they close all the dispensers and they are not reopened before 10:00 AM the next day. Drinks are provided only by the glass and include only orange soda, Pepsi, and lemonade; anything else must be paid for separately; this is their \"all inclusive\". At 12:00 AM they send you back to your room, closing the few facilities. Entertainment practically nonexistent, only French and very, very limited. Pool only 30 cm deep. As for the cleanliness, let's draw a veil of pity; they don't even know what it is. Food very abundant but of poor quality and nonexistent variety. The only thing that is saved is the courtesy and availability of the hotel staff, very kind and wasted in this facility. They advertise \"comprehensive assistance\" but we arrived Sunday at 5:00 PM after having to head to check-in at 10:00 AM, fasting, hungry and thirsty; the only contact was an entertainer who put the \"bracelets\" on us, pointed us to the reception, and then disappeared. After an hour in line, we had to turn to a pizzeria across the street to buy a pizza to satisfy our justified hunger, only to discover that there was a bar that offered sandwiches and pizzas, but no one had told us about it because no one from Alpitour was there. The next day, Monday at 9:30 AM, Nicole arrives, a tour operator by her own account; she explains some things to us that the hotel staff had already explained and provides us with a list of available excursions, adding to look at it calmly and communicate our choice to her, adding that she would not be present the next day and to contact her only in case of extreme need and urgency. Wednesday morning I call her and she tells me that the excursions had already been taken by other tour operators present, so I ask her, given her absence, how I was supposed to do it since I arrived Sunday evening, she showed up Monday and was absent Tuesday, was I supposed to book from home? She got angry and almost told me to go to hell. I had also asked her for advice on car rentals but I had to manage on my own in the meanders of a place I didn't know because, according to her, it is not part of her duties.
