Robinson Club Cala Serena

Hola Tony, we are neighbors from Cala Serena (external) and entrusted our 13-year-old daughter to you. We are very happy that our daughter learned from Tony Tennis. He manages to inspire teenagers for the sport with a lot of heart, patience, and dedication. The progress is impressive, and above all, our daughter always comes back from training with a smile. The bay of the Robinson Club Cala Serena is dreamlike and the staff is consistently friendly and committed. Unfortunately, these positive aspects are not enough to justify the club's high price. The gastronomy was disappointing: tough meat, fish that was sometimes not sufficiently cooked, little variety, and the impression that freshly squeezed juices are diluted with carton juices. The main restaurant is regularly completely overcrowded and is more reminiscent of a large canteen than a premium restaurant. The paid alternatives are completely booked out shortly after the reservations are opened. The sun lounger situation on the beach is also unacceptable. All sun loungers are reserved early in the morning, even though many guests do not appear until hours later. This regularly leads to disputes. The paid daybeds (approx. 50 euros daily) are permanently booked out. The facility is showing initial signs of wear, for example loose tiles in the spa area. In addition, despite several jellyfish stings – including on children – no warning was issued by the club, although this was a matter of course via the app in the past. Furthermore, non-guests were able to enter the club grounds via the bay several times. The evening program seemed unimaginative and lacked atmosphere. Overall, the special atmosphere for which Robinson was previously known was missing. Anyone who knows other Robinson Clubs will clearly notice the difference in quality. The club currently lives primarily from its beautiful location. However, from our perspective, the price-performance ratio no longer matches the brand's premium claim.

It was our 3rd time in Robinson Club Cala Serena and to be honest, we have been more satisfied in the past. Surely this is our subjective opinion and we might be an exception with our opinion. The main issues this time were: Our room P628 smelt a bit fusty first and we had mould in the room. In terms of food and beverage, the white wine which was served at the dinners, was not good at all. We found the quality of the food at our previous stays in the club in general better. In terms of Well Fit Aktive programs we also think the quality of the Robinson trainers was higher and they showed more enthusiasm in the past. Last but not least, serving an Apperitif at the Plaza Mayor before a dinner and charging the guests for such drink…. Although I do understand it is not an „all inclusive club“ it would be a nice gesture by the club, if at least this would be included. We only want to share our personal experience and we will certainly remain Robinson Club fans.
