Insotel Punta Prima Prestige Suites & Spa

Good. We were met by the entrance, which is a short distance from the reception, there are two receptions. This was important as the area can be confusing especially if you arrive when it's dark. The reception staff, Nina, Irene and Daniel were always helpful, very nice people. The suite was on the ground floor, very spacious and close to the pool, no problem getting a sunbed ( though we had our own as part of the suite ) Suite cleaned every day. Small kitchen area, we only made use of the fridge and kettle, useful to have. We did not make use of the fully stocked mini bar which was located in a separate cabinet. The safe was free of charge. Bottle of water supplied on arrival but not renewed daily. We made use of the nearby supermarket for our supplies. Francis at the restaurant was very good and polite, no problem was too much for him, a very helpful guy. Not Quite So Good. The A/C seemed to not go below 21C, the weather was very hot and sometimes the suite was uncomfortable because of this. There are ceiling fans. We used to open the front door and patio doors at the same time to cool the room down. Was a bit uncomfortable at night for sleeping. There was plenty of food choice in the restaurant, but the hot food was mostly only warm. We kept a look out for when dishes were replaced in the hope of getting hot food, this did not always work. There is no microwave. Tea and coffee is brought to you by request, though it seemed to take a long time for the staff to get this from the kitchen. Often they would not bring out all that was required which meant a return trip to the kitchen. Not Good At All. There were small young children running around the restaurant without their parents. They would try to reach up for the food, sweets and ice cream, an accident waiting to happen. Also lots of screeching and crying when they could not get what they wanted. The behaviour of the parents can only be described as poor, bad and inconsiderate to other guests. It's this final point that means we will not return here, it was quite an expensive holiday spoilt by unruly children and their parents.

The staff is very friendly, especially Francis. The hotel was very clean, good food, and the occupancy was very good at the end of September.

Always just as well welcomed by a friendly and professional team, always taking great care of you. Quiet, comfort, relaxation. A great team on a superb island.
