Amazing Holiday initial greeting was warm and friendly with an offer of a complimentary drink. Our ground floor apartment was airy, clean and bright. We wanted for nothing and even had our own little garden with table, loungers and clothes airer. The pool area is relaxing and quiet with no noise or music playing, The pool bar offers food and drinks. The staff couldn't be more kind and helpful, giving advice on trips, transport and providing us with an iron. The food at breakfast was very good and lots of choice. The staff were very knowledgeable on diets and allergies. Providing some lovely vegan food for myself and husband.....thank you Chef ! We enjoyed it so much we upgraded to an offer on half board for three of our nights. The restaurant was across the path from reception and this was also where we watched the entertainment of a sax player and some vocalists Location wise it is perfect, 5 to 10 minute walk to the supermarket, beach, restaurants and bus stops. Their is also a tourist train that does a round trip of the local area. The bus service is great, we went into Mahon twice on our week stay. The area is very quiet and peaceful with a handful of restaurants. The beach is a beautiful white sand with shallow crystal clear waters. The hotel pool area is clean with shade and beautiful gardens. Plenty of beds around the pool and no overcrowding. The resident hotel cats are well kept and very friendly, I loved the greeting we got off them each day. I can not fault anything about our stay, we talked to many return visitors which speaks volumes for this hotel. A truly enjoyable stay.

THE APARTHOTEL Our stay was for a fortnight, 10th - 24th September, in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment on an upper floor. It was very spacious and clean with a large balcony, with dining table and chairs, overlooking the pool area and a smaller balcony off one of the bedrooms. We chose not to have a garden apartment for more privacy. The bedrooms - spacious, with large comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen - had enough equipment to prepare light meals for two of us, though we ate out most of the time. The bathroom - seemed recently refurbished, with a decent shower and plenty of hot water. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable time and hope to stay again in the future. ( Two negatives, which didn't spoil our say but worth mentioning. One was the poor and frequently non-existent Wifi signal in our room. The second was having to pay €3/day for a 'lock and key' room safe. I can understand having to pay for a digital safe as it requires upkeep, but I can't understand the need for this charge ). OTHER INFORMATION A supermarket, just across the road, is very well stocked and was open every day when we stayed, though may differ out of season. It had a good little fresh bread section and fresh meat, fruit, veg, water, drinks etc. at reasonable prices for a tourist resort. There are two other supermarkets at the seafront and a pharmacy. A bus to Mahon stops a couple of hundred metres from the hotel under €2 per person. There are several seafront restaurants about 500 meters walk downhill. We enjoy walking and the hotel location was excellent for us. Nice resorts either way along the coast following the Cami de Cavalls trail, and some inland too.

We have just returned after a two week stay at these apartments. Positives: We had a first floor room with a spacious balcony with table and 4 chairs. This overlooked the pool. There was a smaller balcony off the bedroom which was shaded and I imagine usefully in the height of summer. Rooms were spacious, clean, great waterfall showers, comfortable beds (regularly changed), Adequate cooking utensils to make a simple meal. Our toaster was faulty, but it was replaced immediately I mentioned it at reception. There was a table and 4 chairs in the dining area and a large sofa which was very comfortable. There was a smart TV in the room but we could only find spanish channels, this wasn't a problem to us. The pool area was lovely, lots of sunbeds, and the pool was crystal clear and checked daily. This was evidenced in reception on the notice board. The pool bar was well stocked with a good range of drinks to choose from and not overly priced. All the staff from reception to cleaning were very pleasant and made you feel welcome. We were offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. Negatives: There are only small cups and glasses in the apartment. So if like us you like a mug of Tea/coffee in a morning, or like a pint glass for your beer. I would advise to take your own. We bought mugs at the local supermarket for a few Euros each so easily solved. Breakfast: we only paid for this once it was 12.5 Euros per person. This was much more geared up to the european style breakfast. Plenty of ham and cheese and bread. a little fruit. There was an english breakfast selection, This was bacon which for our taste was overcooked, fried or scrambled egg, beans and two types of sausage. From our point of view it was expensive for what we had (partly due to my husband being a faddy eater). Again we got round this by buying bread eggs and bacon from the nearby shop and making our own. Overall if it hadn't been for these i would have rated it 5 star and there isn't an option for 4.5.
