Hotel Aire De Bardenas

Check in deplorable: no service and not kind Room located in an algeco ( yes yes yes): adjoining:0 privacy, we hear our neighbor sneezing! Dirty room, no bathroom with door a moldy shower curtain, moldy interior sockets a dirty blackout curtain. When you leave the room overlooking a wind farm (if so) and smells of fertilizers because the place is surrounded by fields Expensive breakfast and quality of average products: no one speaks French or English! Everything is ugly and poorly maintained False advertising throughout: not at all in the desert but 20 minutes by car, eco/lodge concept: no information on any eco responsible approach Scam and catch tourist: to flee

Great food, amazing views. A fantasy

A truly magical experience in the middle of the desert. Our stay started with our car getting stuck in knee-deep mud about a mile from the hotel due to heavy rains and a wrong turn. Lucky for us the hotel actually sent someone who hitched our car to their truck and pulled us out, an amazing act of customer service we will never forget. And that was just the beginning of one of an amazing overnight adventure that included seeing 11 shooting stars from the space-age bubble we stayed in, which was surprisingly large, super comfortable (especially the bed), and just an amazing place from which to view every star in the sky. The bubbles have an en suite bathroom and every modern amenity. We dined in the restaurant, which is in the main complex, and the food was phenomenal (make sure to include the breakfast in your plans, it's worth it). At every step of our stay the staff went beyond our expectations with their helpfulness and genuine kindness. An incredible place to stay, and we will be back.
