Fifth consecutive time that I go to this hotel, first as a couple, then with our daughter and the last times coinciding with my sister and my niece, in addition to having recommended this hotel to other people who have gone to Portonovo. Its central location is ideal and it is in a very good location to go with children. The deal with the previous owner was wonderful and now his son continues. This year, although the stay was very good, there were two issues that left us with a slightly worse taste in our mouths. The first is the "parking". It seems right to me that they have set a price of 5 euros per day for the hotel's outdoor parking, which has been charged since this year. Until now it was not regulated and it was difficult to find a place, although the hotel offered free places in a nearby "meadow" which they no longer do, as they explained to us "because the rent they had to pay for the use of said meadow was very high" . They had us very bad used to it and the 5 euros guaranteeing your space in the hotel parking is a "given" price in the center of Portonovo, where in August it is impossible to park. What we liked least is that they assign you a space which is the one you must use during your stay and we were assigned "1", right next to the entrance to the parking lot and which has a cut corner so a car normal it doesn't fit. Of course, it is the only one of those characteristics, since the rest of the cars fit without problems (what bad luck I had). If you can, when you make the reservation ask that they not give you "space 1" of the parking lot. The other issue was the room... My fault for not having thoroughly investigated the type of rooms there are, since until now the previous times it had been the same type, but this time we found an attic room in a third floor without a balcony as before. I don't know if it's because there were three of us in the room, but the year before we were too and they gave us the room next to our sister. On this occasion, having made the joint reservation in April, we were placed two floors away. I repeat, the feeling is still very positive and we will surely return, but by making a joint reservation, you expect that they will take this into account when distributing the rooms and not that they will put you in distant rooms. We didn't say anything because "in situ" I understand that with the hotel full it is impossible to make changes. Next time we will specify when making the reservation that the rooms are close and preferably not on the third floor. And why will we return? Because as I said, it is a small hotel where the treatment is close, its location is ideal, the cleanliness of the room is perfect and the breakfast is magnificent and at a very competitive price, since it costs 3 euros per person per day, taking option of hot drink (coffee, cola cao, etc.), toast, croissant, pastries, etc. and for adults, a juice that if you want orange is natural. The price, furthermore, is more than competitive and good to be talking about the quality of the hotel and the location in the middle of summer. Thank you very much and we hope to see you in 2024.
