Palacio de San Esteban

As a ambassador elite of Marriott, I have to write this and let people know that this hotel is an embarrassment to Marriott and Hospes! The room was small, parsley, appointed, old, worn towels, and few accessories of any kind. I would rate it at the level of a poorFairfield in at Best. It is not worth the money and there are much better places in Salamanca.

Stunning setting, tucked away but with incredible views. Pool was set in quiet gardens, plenty of shade and a great place to unwind after lots of sightseeing. A wedding on one night but we didn't hear a thing. A big leak from room above into our bathroom one night and the night staff member responded professionally and kindly. Another room found and the following night we were moved to another room as they said it would be quiet because of the wedding event. Nice toiletries, would be good to have fresh water replaced, there were bottles but you had to pay for these.

Service top notch, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully situated in the old part of Salamanca, a few minutes to bars and tapas, as well as historic sites. Rooms weee beautifully clean and well presented. Great breakfasts and lovely terrace for drinks. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
