Abadia De Los Templarios

We really liked the stay, especially because of how unique the complex is. It is designed as a kind of small village with medieval inspiration, with the main building, the villa area, a beautiful outdoor pool, gardens, farm animals, and stables with horses. It is worth spending some time simply walking around the grounds and discovering it. It is a very picturesque and different place, one of those where the accommodation itself is part of the getaway. We stayed in a very spacious junior suite, with a very pleasant balcony and a large, comfortable bathroom. The bed and bedding were very good and we rested wonderfully. We were struck by the background music in both the room and the bathroom. As a negative point, the room seemed too dark to us: although it has quite a few lights, they are dim and the windows are small, following the building's aesthetic. The spa is quite complete, with different jacuzzis, a jet and bubble pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a relaxation area, and a curious saltwater floatarium. When we entered during our time slot, it was completely overcrowded and it was very difficult to find a free spot. It seemed that there had been some overlap with the previous shift, because it emptied out afterward and we were able to enjoy the last part with more tranquility. We had dinner one night at the restaurant, coinciding with a wedding in a nearby hall, so there was quite a bit of noise and movement. Perhaps we just happened to have a bad night, but dinner was the weakest meal of our weekend and we expected something more. Some areas would also need some maintenance, especially the sports facilities for soccer, tennis, and basketball, which we saw were quite deteriorated. Upon seeing such a large complex, surrounded by nature, with animals, horses, and different activities, we thought it could be great to return with our children. However, upon asking, they explained to us that the offer for children is quite limited: the horseback riding routes are aimed at adults or older kids, the catamaran requires a minimum group of 15 people, and other activities are not especially designed for them either. Furthermore, the room called the “daycare” was quite neglected and seemed to be used as a storage area as well. The service was good, and we liked small details, such as finding a rose on the bed after the room was made. The value for money seemed correct to us. In short, we really enjoyed our stay. There are aspects that could be improved, but the complex has a lot of charm and personality and is worth visiting. What we take away most is the feeling of having been in a truly different accommodation.

Like an oasis in the middle of the Sierra de Francia. Excessive medieval decoration like a castle surrounded by houses imitating eras like that of the castle... but it looks very good and the spaces are very well-maintained. The food is very good with good service. We happened to be there during a wedding and that complicates things a bit, but it was a small distraction. The rest, very attentive to details. And next to what is for me the prettiest of the pretty towns in Spain that I know. It is worth stopping
